Pas tor Hansen's .sermon was titled "One of the Twelve." Woman's Fellowship AVOCA (Special) Woman's Fellowship met in the church parlors Thursday with MrR. H. Marquardt and Mrs. Helen Noerrllnger, hostesses. Mrs Richard Wilson assisted In Mrs. Noerrllnger's Place. Mrs. Hans Jensen led a Thanksgiving devotion. A menu was read for the Christmas turkey supper Dec. 7. These officers for 1!)64 were elected: Mrs. Clara Ruhge, pres ident; Mrs. William Johnson, vice president; Mrs. Earl Free man, secretary; Mrs. Elmer Hennlngs, treasurer. Mrs. Free man and Mrs. Hennings were re-elected. Next meeting will be the Christmas meeting, Dec. 1.2. Elizabeth Chapter Of OES Celebrates 50th Anniversary NFHAWKA (Special) The Elizabeth chapter of thp order il the Eastern Star celebrated its 50'.h anniversary Tuesday evening at the hall In Weeping Water. Mrs. Deane Nutman of Nehawka, worthy matron, pre sided. Mrs. Eda Marshall of Omaha was introduced as a charter member. Two 50-year member.?. Mrs Emma Rawalt, Avora and Mrs. Elienora Smith, Hartlngton, were present. Twenty five past matrons and pa.;t patrons were introduced. The dedication service was held and chairs as memorial! were dedicated. A memorial service was given. Mrs. Ray Ehlers gave a history of the chapter In ten-year per iods. The tea table was decorated In gold. One-hundred and ten were present with the Masons invited guest. The chapter was named for her mother. Oucsts were from Otoe, Platts mouth.
