They took Eddie and his roommate, Stan Clark of Waco, Texas to the Nebraska-Missouri game at Columbia. The boys are students at the Missouri Military acade my. Mrs. Maurine Wolph was s dinner guest Tuesday of Miss Evelyn Wolph. She was enroute to her home in Llrwoln after spending the past two mo'iths with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wiles and sons of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, while Mrs. Wiles took special nurses training at Cherokee, Iowa. Ehresmen, their dau ghter and two sons of Buck Creek, Ind., who were guests at the Steffens home. Tamyra Heesch recently en tertained ten girls of the fou- grade at a party at her hc-ne. Mrs. Elmer Stoll assisted Mrs. Heesch with the evening enter tainment. Evelyn Volph, Mrs. Arthur Wolph, Mrs. Tom Johnson, Mrs. Will Ost, Mrs. Jack Undsey and Mrs. John Knabe attended the Cass County Council meeting at Weeping Water Monday after noon. And poor management de cisions sometimes arc caused by inadequate knowledge of finan cial and other calculations on which management decisions should be based. "From time to time, a farmer sees shortcut methods for figur ing thing3 such as simple inter est rates, the amount of corn in a pile, or the acreage of an edd shaped field. But chances are hp can't find the magazine, news paper or other source which con tained these scattered bits of in formation," point out agricul tural economists at the Univer sity of Nebraska. Now available is a U. S. De partment of Agriculture publica tion which has pulled together a great deal of this type of infor mation. DAC Day of Remembrance The National Society of Daughters of the American Col onists has declared Nov. 11, DAC Day of Remembrance, of all pa tients in VA Hospitals and has sent folders for distribution to each veteran, including 730 in Nebraska. MII.F PRODUCTION I'PPED Since 13r)0, around the U. S., the r.urnber of milk cows on farms dropped from about 22 million to less than 17 million a 23 per cent decline. The number of dairy farms dropped 31 per cent in that time. Milk produc tion, however, increased from 117 billion pounds to about 126 billion pounds an increase of eight per cent. Milk production per cow rose from 5,300 pounds to 7,300 pounds. NEBRASKAIand's first pheas ant season was held in 1927.
