Aug. 20 & 21, 1963 Board met pursuant to ad journment. Present Harold R. Gregg, Melvin ft. Todd and H. L. Bornemeier, Commissioners and Edna Herring, Deputy County Clerk. Minutes of the last session ap proved and the following busi ness transacted in regular form. Jack L. Fritch, Greenwood Justice of the Peace filed his July report with the Board. Motion was made by Borne meier and seconded by Todd that the Chairman be authoriz ed to sign for the County on a Contract with the Western Sand and Gravel Company in con nection with Proj. S-60613J. Mo tion carried. RESOLUTION: WHEREAS, the office of County Clerk became vacant on August 3, 1963, by reason of the death of Chas, Land, present Incumbent, AND WHEREAS it is neces- j sary that the vacancy in said office be filled by appointment as provided by Sections 32-1010 and 32-1043, R.R.3.1943, as a mended; AND WHEREAS W. J. B. This money goes to the Hat Fund for new hats for the band. Cakes were baked by the band mothers and decorated by Mrs. Harlan Hennlngs. Mrs. Harold Hlavac, Bill Gil bert and Mrs. Paul Druery ran a ''Cake Walk" to sell the cakes.
