Mixed Trends, Lower Market Seen at Omaha Slaughter steers Monday at Omaha sold weak to mostly 25c t lower on weights under 1250 pounds, heavier weights 25-50c off. Topping the steer market were two loads weighing 1231 1283 at $24 75. There were 1125 1260 pounders at $24 40-$24.50, a load of choice 1350 pound steers at $24 25. Fed heifers were steady to 25c lower. Top on heifers for the day was $24 75 paid for a load weighing 1017. There were four loads weighing 919-1075 at $24 .50. Bulk of the fat cattle sales were bracketed at $23-$24.25, plainer kinds $22 50 down; Hol stein steers sold from $21.25 $21.75. Cows sold mostly steady, can riers and cutlers $12 50-$14.75, "shells" $11.50-$12.50, beef cows on up to $16, odd head at $16.25. $16.50. I Bologna bulls were steady to $18.75 and $19; vealer peak held at $28. Stockers and feeders sold steady.
