Thursday, August 8, 1963 PAGE FIVE County League Tournament Starts at Nehawka Tonite The Plattsmouth Platters open the annual Cass County League Baseball Tournament this eve ning at Nehawka at 6 o'clock, opposing Louisville. The second game finds Spring field against Elmwood at 8 o' clock, and Nehawka plays Mur dock at 10 o'clock. Manley drew the bye. The second round will be played Friday at 8 and 10 with the tourney winner to be deter mined Saturday night. It was agreed earlier in t h e season that the tourney be played each year In a different town. Last year's was played at Weeping Water. Representing Plattsmouth are these boys 13 and 14 years of age: Lloyd Fitch, Steve Willett, Max Llnder, Gary Way, Chuck Ault, Mike Brookhouser, John Meyer, John Simons, Willie Local Team Wins SW Iowa Softball League Marge and Elmer's Softball team of Plattsmouth was the regular season champion of the Southwest Iowa Softball Asso ciation League the past season. Its record was 17-3-1. The Louisville Oilers finished second with 16-4-1 and the Glenwood Legion Club, third with 14-6-1.
