AVOCA Mrs. Henry Maseman Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dankleff, Albert and Marie Dankleff help ed Herman Dankleff celebrate his birthday Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Maseman have moved to the Louis Ruhge property they recently pur chased. Mrs. John Nutzman came home to spend a few weeks in her home. Her granddaughter, Karen and Margen Nutzman Dunbar are taking turns staying with her. Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Stohl man and children visited her mother, Mrs. Helen Noerrllng Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ehmke and Mr. and Mrs. Haveman re turned from a vacation in the Black Hills and Yellowstone. Mr. and Mrs. David Straub and family returned to their home at Merritt Island, Florida after visiting his parents here and her parents at Tecumseh several weeks. Sand home Sunday noon. Recent callers of Mrs. Hildur Lundberg were Mrs. Paul Pappe, Prairie Village, Kansas; Mrs. Harry Ingwerson, Eugene, Ore gon and Miss Laverna Ingwer son, Omaha. The Ingwersons also called at the Sheldon Mit chell home, where they were supper guests and at the home of Mrs. Gertrude Carper. Mrs. Ingwerson had visited her son, Richard, who was stationed in Alabama and who will leave soon fo Thailand. Richard Stone returned home Saturday from the Methodist hospital In Omaha, where he had back surgery. Ermond Moore and children, Diana, Douglas and Terrance of Darlington, Md. visited Mrs. Ona Kunkel. They were guests of relatives at Weeping Water. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hansen and family went to. Lincoln. Thurs day and with the Allan Hansen family of Lincoln had supper at a cafe. The Band Mothers realized $95 at their ice cream and cake so cial Sunday evening when the band gave a half hour concert on the school lawn. FINANCING: ARRANCED IN THE CONVENIENCE OF YOUR HOME, Youth To Be In Spotlight At State Fair LINCOLN (Special) Ne braska's young people will be well spotlighted at the 1963 Ne braska State Fair, August 31 Sept. 5 at Lincoln, according to Fair Board Secretary Edwin Schultz. Nearly 3,000 youngsters are expected to be on the grounds for the 4-H Club Show, which continues to be one of the ma jor highlights of the Fair. Last year's 4-H Club show drew 2, 760 young people whose presence was required on the Fair Grounds. Total number of ex hibits was 5,565, including 1,342 head of livestock. Something over 200 young men from high schools across the state are expected to participate in the Future Farmers of Amer ica Show. Last year's show drew 238 exhibitors representing 64 schools. They exhibited 727 head of livestock plus 350 entries In the farm mechanics division, as well a operating the popular Children's Barnyard in which the mother and young of var ious domestic animals are shown. In addition t0 the 4-H Club bers and Future Farmers, there will be several hundred young people on the grounds as mem bers of the various bands that provide music for the Fair. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson entertained Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Moss of Omaha at dinner Mon day evening to honor Mrs. Moss on her birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford O'Con nor and family and Judy Mur dock visited John Murdock at Bryan hospital in Lincoln Sun day. John shows some improve ment from recent brain. sTirgery and was able to sit up for 15 minutes Sunday. Mrs. Elbert Hutchison set up with John Wednesday and Saturday nights. Mrs. Vina Beatty spent Wed nesday night and Thursday with her aunt, Mrs. Leona Christian at Syracuse. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Ross and daughters returned Tuesday from Lake Okoboji where they spent a week vacationing. Gerald Kime and Theresa flew their plane to Lynch, Nebr., where they visited the Elmer Hansen family Wednesday.
