Daughter Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Corbin are oarents of a daughter, born July 21 at Schuyler Memorial Hospital in Schuyler. She weighed 4 pounds, 14 ounces. The Curbing have two other daughters, Lisa, 3, and Laura, 18 months. Grandparents are Mr. find Mrs. Ora Corbin, St. Louis, Mn , and Mrs. Stella Quinnett, Plattsmoulh. Mis. Corbin Is the former Sally Qui.nictt. Son Mr. and Mrs. Havley Sayers of Murray are parents of a son born July 21 at St. Mary's Hospi tal in Nebraska City. Bart Ed ward weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces. The' couples daughter, Christine,:" stayed with her grandparents,," Mr. and Mrs. Ray Henry, Coun- cil Bluffs, Iowa. i Copmanns Return from Guatamela Mrs. Lyle Copmann and son Tommy arrived here Saturday at the home of her father, George Conis, from Guatamelu. Mr. Copmann has just com pleted a three-year assignment In Guatamela as assistant In formation Officer, attached to the US Embassy. The Copmann family flew to Texas from Guatamela. Mr. Copmann proceeded onto Wash ington D. C. for future assign ment orders effective in October. Mrs. Copmann and Tommy came by train to Plattsmouth from Texas for a visit here. Mr. Copmann will join his family here at a later date, and together they will vacation in Santa Fc, New Mexico with his parents. Engagement Ray L. Campbell of this city announces the' engagement of his daughter, Carolyn, Route 8, Box 606, Forth Worth, Tex., to Mr. Jimmy W. Bryant, son of Lloyd and Kuthryn Bryant of Azle, Texas. No date has been set for the wedding. 4-H Orioles The 4-H Orioles met at Ui': home of Art Roelofsz's June 20 at 8 p.m. The members talked about Tractor Day at Mead. The club decided to go. Four members arc going to Halsey State Camp. County Camp was discussed. Next meeting will be July 2'j at 7.30. Mrs. Roelof.sz served lunch. David Eriekson, reporter. Snells in States on Vacation, to Return to Brazil Mr. and Mrd. Leonard J. Snell returned to the United States July 11 after a two-year assign ment overseas with the U. S. Geological Survey and Admini stration for International Devel opment. Mrs. Snell, the former Helen Virginia Price, arrived in Plattsmouth Friday for a visit with her mother, Mrs. Blanche Price, and her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. L. Heinrich; her husband is presently visiting relatives in Michigan and will join her later. The Snells have been on for eign assignments since 1952 ex cept for a short time in Nevadi prior to the recent assignment. Countries where the Snells have been located are: Afghanistan, The Philippines, Cambodia, Turkey and Brr.il. During the past two years they were able to visit various places of interest in addition to their h( adquurtcrs, including such historical and exotic places as Istanbul, Bierut, Damascus, the Holy Land, Madrid, Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro, as '.veil as an cient Troy, F.pesus, Antioch, Nicea, and numerous others. They will be in the States on vacation until late September at which time they are expected to return to Brazil. Bingo was played, after which refreshments were served at the close of the evening. Two visitors, Mrs. Joe Hochel of San Fernando, Calif., and Mrs. Ella Ktrkpatrick of Beni cia, Calif., were present for the party.
