Farm Safety Week National Farm Safety Week. July 21-27, is a good time for farm families to stop and think of the fact that safety is a fam ily affair. Many times, children are the victims of accidents in volving farm families, says Rol lin Schnieder, University of Ne braska Extension safety special ist. In most cases, accidents in volving children could have been prevented if they or .some other member of the family had ade quate training in safetv prac tices. "If the farm family thinks of safe practices as a means of doing things, accident preven tion will become a way of life that will preserve the lives of farm families," Schnieder points out.
