Tommy Lasher showed color slides during the afternoon. Carl Melsinger is spending a few days at home from his work at Falls City, Nebr. Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Davis and children returned home Monday after spending their vacation in the Black Hills. On Thursday, Mrs. Clarence Nessen, Miss Laura Schoeman, Mrs. Earl Stiffler and Mrs. Lewis Isaac attended the Sub-District Ollieers Training meeting of the WSCS In Bellevue. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Pan knnln and family of Swarth nfore, Penn., and Mrs. Alice Pankonin were Tuesday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gardner and taugh ters. Mr. and Mrs. Art Woehlcr ar rived home Saturday after spending three weeks visiting their daughter and son-in-law, Capt., and Mis. David SpeiU at Falls Church, Va. They also en joyed sightseeing in New York. They flew both ways by jet and said that it only took three hours flying time from Omaha to Falls Church. Irus Gerdes visited their little granddaugh ter, Penny Lynn Haynie, at the Methodist, hospital in Omaha Sunday afternoon. Penny will be able to come home as soon as he weighs five pounds. She was born June 2nd. In the evening the Gerdes called at the Don. Messenbrlnk home In Omaha. According to Mrs. Loyd Braack, Chairman of the Cancer Drive in Louisville, The Drive has reached $2'MM. It is Incom plete as yet a.s there are a few reports to come in. Mrs. F.lm:;r Johnson fell Sun day while on her way, to church and hurt her knee which had been injured before.
