THE PLATTSMOtmi JOURNAL PAOF! TWO Keep In Touch Mrs. Floyd Oauer of Louisville who was visiting in Plattsmouth Monday night was taken to the Methodist Hospital in Omaha by Caldwell Ambulance. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Segrave and son Mike of Woodward, Iowa were Plattsmouth visitors Wednesday m Diane Swabby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Swabby, en tered the Methodist Hospital in Omaha Monday. She had an ap pendectomy Wednesday. SSgt. Russell W. Smalley, his wne and son or OKianoma city, Okla., left for their home Wed nesday morning. They arrived here Friday for a visit with his father, O. F. Smalley, and other relatives. Sergeant Smalley Is stationed at Tinker AFB. Amelia Marteas has returned Jrom San Francisco where she visited her sister, Henrietta Mar tens. Mrs. Charles Guthman from Boise, Idaho, and her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gardner of Springfield, Mass., left Tuesday for Boise after spending two weeks with Miss Minnie Guthmann and other relatives and friends. Dona Steppat, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Steppat, un derwent an appendectomy Tues day at St. Joseph Hospital In Omaha. Mrs. E. G. Ruffner returned home Wednesday morning on an early train from a two month vacation. She visited one month with her sister, Mrs. Peggy Bruce, Youngtown, Ariz., and another sister, Mrs, George Blaichford, Riverside, Calif. She was also a guest In the home of her son, Andy Ruffner ana fam ily at Ramona, Calif. Mrs. Edith Thiele accom panied Mr. and Mrs. George Lathrope of Nebraska City to Omaha Wednesday on business. House guests at the hoiw-of Mrs. J. Howard Graves this week are Mrs. Graves' two sis ters, Mrs. Fannie Cook of Nor lolk, Nebr., and Mrs. Alice Join er of Nebraska City, Nebr.; The combined ages of the three la dies are 251 years and six months. Denny Campbell, 1962 Platts mouth High Graduate, left by train for Omaha Monday and was inducted into the U. S. Army. He will take his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Rhoades. Cleaners Circie Elects Officers Gleaners Circle of the First Methodist Church met with Mrs. R. F. Brendel April 18 at 8 p.m. with 18 members and one guest present. Mrs. Lowell McQuki gave de votions and Mrs. Warren Catron presented a book review on "Asia's Rim." Chariman Mrs. John Schrei- ner conducted the business meet- tag- An election for the next year's officers was held and they are as follows: Chairman, Mrs. Warren Ca tron; vice chairman, Mrs. John Rishel; secretary, Mrs. Duane Landr.n; treasurer, Mrs. Fred Davenport. Following the business meet ing, Mrs. Wm., Highheld con ducted two quiz games. Refreshments were served by hostesses Mrs. R. F. Brendel, Mrs. Orviile Julian and Mrs. John Ostrom. CAMP FIRE NEWS The Ko-Ki-Tao Camp Fire girls met at the home cf their guardian, Mrs. Richard Collins, April 23. We discussed plans for our ceremony to be held April 25. We played games.
