A Resolution was signed di recting the County Judge to pay $570.76 into the General Fund for fees, moneys, legacies, de vises and costs that have not been paid to or demanded by any person or persons entitled tfiereto within the last ten years. A Resolution was signed ap proving substitution of securities for the Plattsmouth State Bank. Motion waa made bv Todd and seconded bv Bornemeier tnat the Chairman .sign an agreement with Watson Bros, to move heavy equipment on certain Cass County Roads. Motion carried. Motion was rnx.de by B'irn--meier and seconded bv Tcr'd that the Board recommend the issuance of the Retail 0;, and C.'f Sale Beer License to Lloyd R. Holman. Motion carried. Chairman Harold dreg? said that he would vote yes fcr the reason that this was not a new busisess but just a transfer from father to son. The Clai-n of A. On Saturday all called at the home of Mrs. A. H. Siekman. Additional guests at the Siek man home were the D u a n e Novaks of Crete. Mrs. Laura West received word Sunday evening of the death of a brother-in-law, Frank West, Carbondale. 111. He is a former Lincoln and Eagle resident. He had been residing at Carbondale, near his daugh ter Helen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Morrison. Mr. Mor rison is an instructor at the college in that city. Another daughter, Mrs. Coral (Frances) Dubry lives at St. Louis. She and her husband both are teachers in the city schools there. A son, Maurice, resided with the parents and during his fathers prolonged Illness. Fun eral services and burial will be in Lincoln Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Bird ob served their 45th wedding anni versary Sunday with a dinner at their home. Guests were former neighbor, Mrs. Nina Frohlich and present neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Stewart. Their son, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Bird, Lincoln, called during the after noon. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Trunken bolz, Lincoln, called at the home of his sister, Mrs. Nina Frohlich, Sunday afternoon. Joy Rodaway entered the Bry an Memorial Hospital Sunday evening undergoing observation and medical attention for a few days. The Wm. Helmlnk family moved to Firth on a farm ;e cently, from the farm east of Eagle purchased by the Joy Henry's of Lincoln. Mrs. Claude Gerhard received word of the critical illness of her brother-in-law, Ben Root, Scottsbluff, In the city hospital. Their son Merle of California, was called to his bedside. Mr. Root has been ill for several years and , hospitalized many times. They are former Eagle residents. Ouest in the Rev. and Mrs. John Bartleson Jr. home was his brother, James Bartleson of Pender. The latter is a Science and Language instructor in the Pender School. Rev. and Mrs. John Bartie son's young daughter, Mrle Elizabeth, has been spending several days at the home of her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Behr, Norfolk. Mr. and Mrs, Charles Scatter good attended the farm sale of her late aunt at Geneva, and were dinner guests of another aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Crawford at Brunlng. They also visited their daugh ter and family, the Eluon Sorcn sons at Ruskin. and attended the Ruskin Schools Operetta. Their granddaughter participat ed In the operetta. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ander son and family of Lincoln visit ed at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Anderson Sunday. Mrs. Bettie Underwood and Mrs. H. D. Fischer attended the Elmwood OES Kensington at Elmwood Wednesday afternoon. The Eagle Fire Dipartmnt was called to the Clyde Wenzet farm Sunday afternoon due to a grass fire. The fire was put under control, and no damages were reported. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker. Sr. and their daughter ami family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Weyers have been enjoying a trip to Phoenix, Ariz, to visit their other daughter and fam ily, the Richard Osr indcrs, former Eagle residents. Mr. and Mrs.. Jack Zinsmrii- ler attended funeral services for his aunt, Mrs. Alma Goenw.in. 81, of Pueblo, Colo., Tuesday, afternoon at St. Paul's tvan-i pellral and Reformed Church; ar Lincoln. Mr. tinsmasier was a pallbearer. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Scatter good and Mrs. Laura West at tended graveside services at Lincoln Memorial Park for Mr. Frank West, 82, of Carbondale, 111., formerly of Lincoln and Ei'gle. Survivors include his wife, Mattle; son Maurice, Car bondale; daughters, Mrs. Vern on Morrison (Helen), Carbon dale, Mrs. Carol Dubry (Fran ces), St. Louis, Mo.; brothers Harry West of Lincoln and Ray mond of Corpus Christi, Tex.; sister Mrs. Mary Johnson, Cor pus Christ!, all former Eagle residents; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ostran der of Phoenix, Ariz., have an nounced birth of an eight-pound boy March 18 at Phoenix. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker Sr. and her sister and husband. Mr.' and Mrs. Dick Weyers spent a couple of weeks with the Ostranclers at Phoenix and plan to be home the last of this week. Dwight Earl entered St. Eliz abeth Hospital and underwent back surgery Thursday. He had had therapy first but surgery became necessary. Mrs. Ann Fifer was taken by ambulance to Bryan Mem orial Hospital Wednesday eve ning. She was at the home ,: her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Rodaway at the' time she became ill. Mr. ar.d Mrs. Fred Embree of Kearney visited at the home of his sister and husband, Mr. ' and Mrs. Jerry Ronhnvde dar ing the weekend. Mrs. Gary Trunkenbolz un derwent an appendectomy last Tuesday and after several days was released frorri the . hospital and Is convalescing at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Waller Vincent at Alvo. Mr and Mrs. Kenneth Trun kenbolz visited at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Don Hill at Lincoln, Sunday. Mrs. Alfred Schroder entered St. Elizabeth Hospital Wednes day and underwent back sur gery Thursday morning. She Is recovering satisfactorily.
