Farmers To Report Planting Intentions Several thousand Nebraska farmers will take part this week In the annual survey of farmers' planting intentions, made by the U.S. Department of Agricul ture. State Agricultural Statisti cian, A. V. Nordquist, announced today that an official survey card Is being sent to a sample of farmers throughout the Sta te, asking each farmer to report the number of acres that he ex pects to plant to each major crop this year and the number of acres planted to the same crops last year. Reports from Nebraska farm ers will become part of a nation-wide report on farmers' in tentions to plant, to be Issued by the Statistical Reporting Ser vice USDA on March 20. This report, issued annually for more than 30 years, is useful to farm ers in adjusting their own plans, to Industries serving agriculture and to many public agencies.
