Frank Hurlbut Phone 789-3435 The Greenwood Woman's Club met at the home of Mrs. Mabel Lambert Feb. 12 with 14 ladies present. Mrs. Minnie Marolf was assistant hostess. After the business session Mrs. Walter Woitzel presented the program on "Patriotism." The St. Joseph Altar Society met Feb. 13 at the home of Mrs. M. R. Hansen with seven mem bers present. The members also had all day meeting of quilting. Feb. 13. Next regular Dorcas meeting will be March 15. World Day of Prayer will be held at the Methodist Church March 1 at 2 p.m. for both Meth odist and Christian Churches. Ruth Circle will meet Feb. 26 at the home of Mrs. Mabel Lam bert. OES Kensington met with Mrs. Bess McGill at her home Feb. 13. Mrs. Jesse Richmond was assistant hostess. Seven teen members attended. 1 Born: to Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Barber, Feb. 4 a son, Roger Lee, weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces. ; Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs ; Bernard Harre of Exeter and j Mrs. Flora Barber of Lincoln. j Some 50 members and friends ; of the Christian Church enjoyed a fellowship dinner after church service Sunday. A program with Mrs. Wissel as pianist and Mrs Trauernight as song leader began with group singing of fa vorite hymns. Mrs. Wissel sang a vocal solo. Mrs. Harold Wright played several violin selections and also accompanied Sandra and Patty Wright who sang a duet. Mrs. George Rouse read several selected poems. Mrs. Gladys Martin gave a re port on church work and called on Mrs. Aaron Wright who gave a report for Dorcas Society. Mrs. Niles Coleman for Sunday school and Missions and Alice Boucher for the church board. Discussions followed and the budget for the year was ap proved. Family night was held at the Methodist Church Sunday with a fair attendance. The guest speaker, Miss Betty Ng, from Singapore presented a very in teresting talk. Reports were given on Eastern Nebraska Council meeting and the Pancake Supper. The annuoncement was made that if anyone had good used men's clothing, to please leave it at the Union Farm Supply Store. It will be taken to Vet eran's Hospital at Omaha where there Is much need for this clothing. The March meeting will be a covered dish supper, honoring the chapter's 10th anniversary.
