Elmwood School Board Minutes Nov. 5, 1962 The meeting was called to or der by President Hansen with Hansen, Bornemeier, Rosenow and Vogt present. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Treasurer Rosenow 'reported a balance of $1,609.00 on hand. October bills were read. Moved by Bornemeier, seconded by Rosenow to pay all local bills and all other bills that we had money for. Motion carried. Trie matter of discipline on John's Bus route was discussed. Mr. Ferguson was instructed to do what he could to straighten It out. Mr. Ferguson reported that we had a visit to the Hot Lunch Department from the State Department. A favorable report was received and the tol lowing suggestions for improver ment. 1. Purchase stack ovens. 2. Place a hand sink in the kit chen. Mr. Hansen reported com plaints of too short a noon hour Mr. Ferguson stated it would be taken care of tomorrow. It was moved by Vogt and sec onded by Rosenow that Hansen 8c Bornemeier be authorized to dispose of the old school ground at their discretion. Carried. Ad journed. November bills were read and approved. Move by Vogt and seconded by West that we pay the bills as read and pay Stub bendeck's and Drake's upon re ceiving the bills. Mrs. Ronk reported that she was interested in returning next year, therefore, we will give her a leave of absence at the proper time and at Mr. Ferguson's dis cretion. Mr. Ferguson reported that Mrs. Groves would not be re turning. Moved by Rosenow and seconded by Bornemeier to offer Nettle Bornemeier that head cooks Job. Motion carried. Mov ed by Chet Bornemeier and sec onded by Rosenow that Mary Miller be offered the vacancy of 2nd cook. Motion carried. West moved that all stadium seats require protection between the metal and the wood seats. Seconded by Hall. Motion car ried. President Hansen and Chet Bornemeier. the members in charge of disposing of the school grounds, reported the land sold at auction with the high bid ding between Ahlene Fitch and Henry Knaup ended with the lots 8-14 going to Henry Knaup for $1,650.00.
