Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Scatiergood were guests at the home ol his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Harry West, at Lincoln and also visited an aunt, Mrs. Ida Stumbo, of Lawrence, Kansas and her Slighter, Mrs. Ardella Weeks and latter's daughter, Mrs. Ronnie Lu!z, also from Kar.sas. visit ins; at the niece's home, in Lincoln. Evan Root., is recovering sat isfactorily from his injuries, re ceived on last Friday afternoon, while moving a house with his heavy construction machines in A!vo. He is husmtalized for 3rd degree burns from touching elec tric wires, broken shoulder from the fall from the housetop, and teeth injuries. Mmes. Ida1 Stumb, Ardella Weeks, and Ronnie Lutz of Kan sas visiting the Scattersood and Ransford relatives, called at the hospital on Saturday, a short time to see their nephew and cousin, Ralph Ransford. The "OSC" Club members will meet at the home of Mrs. Orris Lanning, for their January j meeting. Mr. Rudolph Oberle, Lincoln, spent Monday at the home of his sen, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Oberle. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Trumble, visited at the home of his cous in, Mr. and Mrs. Arihur Peter sin, in Omaha. Neb., Sunday. We are sorry to report, Mr. Ralph Ransford, is not making as rapid a progress, as his rela tives end friends hoped for hav ing suffered a heart attack last Thursday. He had major sur gery a couple of weeks, prior to the attack. He will be at the hospital a few weeks longer than at first anticipated. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rans ford, of Napa. California, ar rived at the home of his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ransford, on Saturday, and will remain to be with Ralph at the hospital and Mrs. Ransford during his hospitalization and on his return home. Eagle friends are glad to hear Mr. Everett Morton was able to be released from the hospital nn Saturday. His daughter from San Francisco, Calif., is with him for a few weeks. What Is Onius? Chriss Stubbendick was born near Avoca March 3, UI',0. He moved to Lincoln ' where he helped raise his nephews, D.jn Stubbendick, after the death (f his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will S'ubbendick. Several years later, he moved to San Diego to make his home with his son, Warren. He died Dec. 15. Funeral servires were Dec. 18 at Enplewood Park, Inglewood, California. Obituary Rudolph Meisinerr Rudolph George Meisinger, son of Adam and Katherine Thierolf Meisinger, was born ;Oct. 8, WJb, near Cedar Creek. j He was baptizeo by Pastor Spriegel in Christ Lutheran Church Dec. 16, 1895. He was confirmed by the pastor in March, 1912. t i Mr. Meisinger was married to Nellie Knutson of Louisville, Jan. 14, 1920, Pastor Kunzen dorf of Christ Lutheran per- I forming the ceremony. 1 They had four children, sons Leo of Plattsmouth and Call and Richard of Louisville and Mrs. Myrna Larson of Louisville. They survive along with his wife; 14 grandchildren and a great-grandson; ana a brother, Ralph, Cedar Creek. Mr. Meisinger farmed near Cedar Creek, worked at Ash Orove Cement Co., drove an oil tank truck, and at the time of his death was manager of the Plattsmouth Motel. He died Dec. 17 from a heart attack as he drove to his moth er's funeral at Christ Lutheran. Mr. Meisinger was 67. Plans were made to hold a Pancake Supper Jan. 23. The Jan. 8 meeting will be a covered dish supper.
