Mrs. Plunkett had the table and her home beautifully decorated in keeping with the Christmas sea son. Following dinner, the croup assembled for the meeting. Mrs. Ed Freeman read a poem, "Hang Up the Christmas storking." Christmas carols were sung, fol lowed..byprayer. Mrs. 8. H. Har mon presented the worship. Mrs. Lej (Shrlstensen read the Scripture. Mrs. Harmon chose as her topic, "Celebration of Christ mas." She read an article "Like a Paper Image" for meditation. A story was read, "How Shall We Think of Christ." Two poems were real, "In the Eyes of a Child'' by Mrs. Plunkett, Jr. and "Always a Christmas Night" by Mrs. Eanos Plunkett. Mrs. Cyrus Livingston pre sented the missionary lesson on "Good News of Great Joy." She told where the missions began and the gift we give to God. Mrs. Chrlstensen read the Christmas story from Luke 2: 1-20. The lesson was closed with the reading of a poem by Mrs. Charles Freeman, "And There Were in the Same Congregation." The circle had sent a quilt to the Child Saving Institute in O maha and a thank you letter was read. There were 10 mem bers present and a guest. The members were reminded to bring cookies or candy so that boxes may he prepared for the shut-Ins of the church and others. The meeting closed with prayer by Mrs. Livingston. Following the dinner Mrs. Harold Cummines opened the meeting with Scripture reading and prayer. Mrs. David Baxter presented the worship using as her topic, "As We Share Christ, We Share Christmas." She read from Isiah 60:1-3 and Saint John 16:33. The group sang Christmas carols. Mrs. Baxter read a poem, "Outside and Inside, A Prayer irom Anotner country." Mrs. Leon Bond gave the mis sionary lesson on "Good News of Great Joy." She held a quiz on me Dirth of Christ. Mrs. Ralph Hyde read a poem, "True Christmas." A cookie and candy exchange was held at the close of the meeting. Two boxes were pre pared for shut-Ins. The next meeting will be with Mrs. David Baxter Jan. 3. The meeting closed with prayer. Dutch Academy Club Has Christmas Party LOUISVILLE (SDerinli Th. Dutch Academy Extension club inemoers and their families ga thered at the attractively dec orated Legion Hall, Sunday eve ning, Dec. 9 for their annual Christmas party. A buffet sup per was served from well-filled baskets to 43 members and guests. A short business meeting was held and club pal names were drawn for the coming year. On the entertainment list WAS a piano solo by Linda Schliefert and one by Charlene Gaehei Bingo was then played followed later by piano solos by Mary Kay Stander and Donna Tlustos. Following the program, there was a gift exchange by the members and the revealing of the club pals names for this year. The evening's entertain ment was closed by the entire group singing Christmas Carols. Next meeting will be Jan. 16 at the home of Mrs. Roy Briden steln with Mrs. Walter Heler as co-hostess.
