- -., V ' . . I Engagement EAGLE Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Embree of Mullen, formerly of Eagle, announce the engage ment of their daughter,. Paula, to Jerry A. Ronhovde, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jyhn A. Ronhoved, Lincoln. They are planning a February wedding at Eagle Methodist Church. The bride-to-be Is a student at the University of Nebraska. Mr. Ronhovde attended the Uni versity College of Agriculture and now farms with hu fither. Both are honor graduates of Eagle High School. The church was decorated with baskets of yellow gladiolus, yellow and bronze mums and two seven branch candelabra. Pews were decorated with white bows and lilics-of-the-valley. Mrs. Wavne II. Stubbendeck Sherry Kayejdlck, cousins of the groom. The bride's mother wore a blue wool sheath dress wi'h matching accessories. The gloom's mother wore a two piece winter white dress with blue accessories. Both wore white rose corsages. Mrs. Robert Bornemeier pre sided at the guest book. A reception was held In the church parlors for 195 guests with Mrs. LaMoyne Spohn seiv- ir.g as hostess. I Mrs. Larry D. Lannin and Mrs. Keith Boi'nemeler, sisters of the bride, cut and served the ! rake. Mrs. Sam Oatto, aunt of Richard Vogt, accompanied by I the bride, served the Ice cream Mrs. Dwlght Clements at the i anrt-Mrs. Dale Stubbendick, aunl of the groom, poured the coffee. Misses Jana Lee Bottscher and Barbara Ann Taney, cousins of organ, sang. The bride, given In marriage by her father, wore a gown of traditional write fashioned of lace over taffeta. Jeweled lace outlined the scallops of the rounded neckline of the lace the groom, served the punch. Mrs. Lester Rosenow, in charge of the gifts, was assisted by Gloria Cook, Carol Hastens, long sleeves tapered to bridal j Mrs.' Victor Schomaker was in points. Her Jew elry consisted of a pearl neck luce and earrings, which be longed to her mother. She carried ?. bouquet of red roses centered with white or chids. Judy Fitzglbbons. maid of honor, wore a gown of royal blue. Sarah Jane Albers and Kathy Elliott, bridesmaids, wore gowns oi irencn oiue. All were of crystal cloth with scalloped necklines. The bixliceR came to a point at waistline with a large bow across the back and were ballerina length. They carried colonial bouquets of fall shades of fuljl mums and wore match ing pill box hats with veils, Phyllis Stubbendeck, sister cf the groom, and Willadean Stub bendeck, cousin of the groom, lighted the tapers. They were gowned ln Identical dresses of powder blue with matching headdresses and wore wrist cor sages of mums. Debra Bornemeier, niece of the bride, wearing white lace and net over taffeta, was flower girl and carried a basket of mums. Douglas Lannin, nephew of the bride, carried the rings on a satin pillow. Norman Stubbendeck, brother of the groom, was best man. Bruce Vogt and John Menden hall were groomsmen. Seating the guests were Larry D. Lannin and Keith Bornemeier, brothers-in-law of the bride, Tom Stub bendeck and Dennis Stubben- and Sally West. Mrs. Harlan Kunz, in charge of the kitchen, v;us assisted by Mrs. Dan P'itzgibbons, Mrs. Ray Hanson, Mrs. Frank Sehroeder and Mrs. Laurence Stubbendick. Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Elmwood High School. For traveling the bride wore a two-piece blue wool dress with matching accessories, and a white orchid corsage. Her Jew elry was a gift of the groom. Following a trip the couple are at home in Elmwood. Immanuel Ladies Aid LOUISVILLE (Special) The Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid held its Christmas party and monthly meting Thursday at the church parlors. Singing of A Christmas hymn and presentation of a scripture Usson by the pastor opened the meeting. The meeting was called to order by the president, and a report was heard by Mrs. Arnold Vogler on a meeting of the church-sponsored Children's Service Society which she at tended. After the business meeting, Mrs. Walter McOrew, Sr., re viewed the book, "Speak To Me Brother" by Ann Miller Downs. The pastor gave a brief topical talk. Twenty-two members and a guest, Mrs. McGrew, were pres ent at the combination Christ mas party and meeting.
