That's why they are still hkely to be found abroad this October 31st . . . witches and goblins, pirates and skeletons ... all a bit on the small side these days. The trouble with some of our ancestors of a few centuries ago was that they took witches seriously . . . condemning 'in nocent people on supersitition and unsupported accusations. The term "witch hunt" comes down from that time, with the meaning of wildly accusing someone without evidence, or trying to find a scrapegoat for a crime that never happened. Witches and broomsticks are fun for the small fry on Hal lowe'en. It's up to us adults to make sure that we don't start thinking they're abroad through the rest of the year, so our young goblins can grow up in a world where witch hunts are permanently out of style . . , CALDWELL FUNERAL HOME Plattsmouth Ph. 41 11 N week Mr. Caldwell of the Caldw.1!
