Legal Notices Council Meeting City Hall September 24, 1962 City Council met in regular session at 8:00 o'clock P.M., with the following present: Council men A. W. Huebner, Robert As pedon, Elmore Brink, Raymond Fuller, James McMillian, Don ald Aylor, C. W. Rhylander, City Clerk Erna M. Yenney. Absent: Mayor L. W. Moore, and Coun cilman Lloyd Morehead. In the absence of Mayor Moore, the President of Council, A. W. Huebner presided. Minutes of the previous meet ing were read and approved. Pursuant to published notice to bidders for the construction of street improvements in St. Imp. Dists. Nos. 165 and 167, the following bidders submitted bids: Kehm Construction Co. Inc., Dugdale Construction Co. and Cornhusker Paving Co. Following discussion motion carried that all bids as submitted be referred to the engineers for verification of computations and recommendation on award of contract, be made at the next regular meeting. Motion carried that the re vised schedule of assessments as presented by the engineers be approved and notice of a Board of Equalization meeting regard ing the revised schedule of as sessments of Pav. Dist. No. 159 to be held on October 8, 1962 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. be published. Motion carried that Ordinance No. 1633 entitled "AN ORDIN ANCE CREATING STREET IM PROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 168 IN THE CITY OF PLATTS M O IJ T H, NEBRASKA, AND PROVIDING FOR THE CON STRUCTION' 'OF STREET IM PROVEMENTS THEREIN" be passed under suspension of rules. Motion carried that notice of creation of St. Imp. Dist. No. 168 be published. Motion carried to grant per mission to Frank Prohaska to place a sign over the present sign located at 4th St. & 1st Ave. to advertise his occupation of Custom Cabinet Making, sub ject to requirements. Motion carried that engineers be instructed to prepare a sur vey and preliminary design to determine ownership for right of way necessary for creation of a St. Imp. Dist. for the Ceme tery Road project. Motion carried that the engi neers proceed with the plans and specifications for the creation of a sanitary sewer district for the area specified in the peti tion as presented by property owners on Ave. B., work to be with recommendation of Bd. of Pub. Works. Motion carried to accept the Annual Audit report of Cecil M. Karr, Public Accountant for the fiscal year May 1, 1961 to April 30, 1962 and place same on file. Motion carried to grant per mission to Harold Edwards to cut the curb on Hillcrest Drive for a driveway to his property described as 420 Hillcrest Dr. Motion carried to accept the report of the Parking meter collections for the weeks ending Sept. 14th and Sept. 18, 1962 as being $206.50 and $219.00 re spectively. Verbal objections were heard from property owners in St. Imp. Dist. No. 159 and motion carried that properties lying north of Patterson Ave. be assessed as per the revised schedule submit ted by the engineers.
