Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Rice and children, Chris, Penny and Steve of Sheridan, Indiana were Labor Day weekend guests of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Thomas. They also visited Mr. Rice's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Elmore Saltmarsh and family. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Meisinger were very sorry to hear of the serious Illness of Mrs. Richard Emerich at the Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D. C. Mrs. Emerich had recently un dergone heart surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Ervln Albert and Kay and their house guests, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hettrlck of Big Sandy, Mont., were Wednes day evening callers at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Harold Striker in Omaha. Sybil Saltmarsh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmore Salt marsh, left Monday for Wayne where she is enrolled at the Wayne State Teachers College as a freshman. Miss Sybil was a 1982 graduate of the Louisville High School. Mrs. Leonard Vaughn and chil dren and Mrs. Henry Doermann were Humboldt visitors Satur day. They also visited With Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Oestmann and sons and Mrs. Vallska Vaughn in Dawson before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Meisinger and Richard were Sunday after noon and supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hussman in Val pariso. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hettrlck of Big Sandy, Montana visited a few days at the Ervin Albert home. Mrs. Wilbur Hubbell entered Methodist Hospital Monday for observation. James Heard of Omaha was a Tuesday overnight guest of his parents,' Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Heard and kathy. He left Thurs day, September 6, to attend Westminster Choir College at Princeton, New Jersey. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Heil and Mark attended the State Fair Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday they were accompanied by Russell Glasshoff of Mur dock. , Eula Burtr of'Waterbury left Tuesday to return to her home after spending ten days visiting at the Ernest Beck home. Mrs. Leonard Vaughn took her son Patrick to the doctor in Om aha Thursday afternoon. Pat is suffering from several allergies. Hook of Penfield, Penn.. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Gardner, Sr., of Weedville, Pa., and Mrs. Marietta Long of Plattsmouth were Tuesday guests of Mrs. Long's daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Larson. In the afternoon the group toured Boys Town and several places in Omaha. The Hook's and the Gardner's were house guests of Mrs. Long in Plattsmouth. Mrs. Hook and Mrs. Long are cousins. They had been raised togehter when they were young and they had not seen each other for over sixty years. Mrs. Lewis McEvoy and chil dren of North Platte were guests last week of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Webb. Marion Reichart entered the St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha Saturday. He is being treated for Thrombophlebitis. He will be hospitalized for some time. Larry Hughes is in charge of his barber shop while he is in the hospital.
