"missile base" men southeast .pf Plattsmouth. Saluri day-night was broken up by the Sheriff's Office about 11 p.m., Sheriff Tom Solomon said. The Sheriff said that when he pulled up to the scene, confusion broke out among the attending "teenagers." Some headed east on foot into a corn field and a majority took off west into a thick undergrowth of trees and weeds, mud and poison ivy. The youths' abandoned cars were on a county road and the Sheriff said he first planned to wait out the youths but this was given up in about a half-hour be cause he feared for. the safety of those who fled into the wooded area. Despite the officers' pull ing out of the area it took until 4 a.m. Sunday before the last teenager came out and sought help from a local farm home. "The party had been planned and as word leaked out groups I ot teenagers from Murray, Plattsmouth, Glenwood, Belle vue and Omaha converged into the area," the Sheriff said. It is believed at least 60 or more were in attendance. Names of at least 40 are now in the Sheriff's hands. Solomon said some of those in attendance were not drinking and others who came left im mediately upon sizing up the sit uation. Some of the youths in attend ance had earlier been in County Court on a party held west of Plattsmouth. Solomon said that 16 gallons of beer was confisca'ed at the scene and a 16-gallon keg had Deen consumed before his ar rival. Investigation is continuing today into who planned the party and who made the pur chases of beer for the group. Complaints would be filed as sufficient evidence became available, the Sheriff said.
