I Legion Auxiliary Has Meeting at Weeping Water WEEPINO WATER (Special) The American Legion Aux iliary held their meeting with 12 members present. Georgia Lud wiclt. Weeping Water repre sentative to Girls State gave an Interesting report on her week In Lincoln. Delegates to the con vention are Mrs. Lawrence Wiseman Mrs. Mata Amick, Mrs. James McVay and Mrs. Farley Amlck. Alternates are Mrs. Rlehard Blckford, Mrs. Harold Bruns, Mrs. Vernon Duwe and Mrs. Nell Munkres. The float for the County Fair was discussed. Mrs. Vernon Duwe will be the float chair man. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ross at tended a meeting of the Pat riarch Militant in Lincoln Sat urday evening. Preceding the meeting they had dinner with some of the Grand Officers of the state. The Rosses also visit ed Mrs. Ruth Lundberg of Tal lahassee, Florida at the Norman Lundberg home in Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Benny Graham and four children left Tuesday evening for their home in Den ver after a visit of two weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wessel. Mr. Graham spent part of the time attending an army school in Texas. Ml- and Mrs. Ivan Hansen, Lois and John returned home Saturday after spending six days at Lucky Acres at Garfield, Minn. Enroute there they were overnight guests of the Oren R. Pollards of Schaller, Iowa. Mrs. Maurine Wolph of Lin coln was a guest Friday of Miss Evelyn Wolph. She stopped en route home from Kansas City, where she spent several weeks with her son-in-law and daugh ter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Riley and their three daughters. Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Oliver and daughter, Debra and Miss Gloria Miller of Elizabethtown, Ky. arrived to spend their vaca tion with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miller and family. Virginia Mitchell was 9 years old August 6. Her birthday party guests Friday were classmates of hers. They played games and refreshments were served. Vir ginia, Julia and Tommy went to Omaha Saturday with their aunt, Miss Laverna Ingwerson to spend the weekend with her. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Mitchell joined them for a pic nic at Two Rivers park and the children returned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford O'Con nor and daughters spent Sun day afternoon and were supper guests of the Matt Midkiffs. Beverly Murdoch visited her . Mr. and Mrs. Thurmond Nix on, Mrs. Sybil Nixon, and the Carl Wademan family of Nebr. City returned Friday from Lucky Acres, Garfield, Minn., where they spent a week. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kratky of Oma ha were guests Sunday at the Nixon home. The United Brethren church members held a picnic Sunday at the Tucker Park. Y., stopped Thursday noon for a short visit at the F. O. Sand home. They were enroute home from the Grand Canyon and a vacation on a ranch in Colorado.
