Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wright and Mrs. Clyde Jackson re turned from Moore roU, Wyo., Monday evening. They had vis ited their brother, Albert Bach ler, and family there. Mr. and Mrs. John Speck, Johnny, JoNon, Jerome and Janu entertained at a cook-out July 18. Attending were Mrs. Robert Krejei, David, Rob, and Sheri, Mr. and Mrs. Joy Haswell. Roaxanne and Joy, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Gan.semer and Mrs. Anna Gansemer. Homemade ice cream was served in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Krejei held a family picnic at their home Sunday, July 22nd. Their son, M-Sgt. Robert Knjci of Denver arrived here last Friday to join his wife and children and visit with family and friends. Tho.se attending were Mr. and Mrs. Troy Cotner, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Munhall and family, and Carol and Jim Krejei. Legion Auxiliary Meets at Union, Names Committees UNION (Special) American Legion Auxiliary Unit 235, Union, met at Legion Hall with Mrs. Ted Brannon president presiding. The new officers were In their chairs. Correspondence was read by Secretary. Membership quota for 1963 is 64. Mrs. Robert Kendall, Mrs. Don Wolfe and Mrs. Charles Attebery were named on a com mittee to present a girls name for King Korn Karnival. A cash gift was sent to Robert Harrah a hospital patient. Mrs. Attebery spoke on Red Cross and ask that a good crowd at tend the meeting in Plattsmouth Aug. 2. A social hour was held wi!h refreshments. Hostesses were Mrs. Baker, Mrs. John Ervin, Mrs. Jack Courtney, and Mrs. A. W. Crawford. Miss Pfeifer Nurse Graduate Aug. 2 Carol Jeanne Pfeifer, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Pfeifer of Plattsmouth, will be among 92 seniors to receive di plomas in joint graduation cer emonies of St. Catherine's and St. Joseph Hospital Schools of Nursing at Boys Town Auditor ium Aug. 2. Mkis Pfeifer, a 1959 graduate of Plattsmouth High School, was president of the junior class and vice president of the Student Association at St. Catherine's. Robert Krejei and fam ily, here from Denver. The Kre jei's will return to Denver Fri day. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Krejei and Jim, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Cotner, Carol Krejei and friend Connie Thomas of Omaha. Mrs. Anna Hansen of Nehawka spent Tuesday with her sister, Mr. and Mrj. Fred Hild, here. Her daughters, Mrs. Doris Pol lard and Mrs. Charlotte Niday, both of Nehawka, were supper guests of the Hilds. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Winn and family returned from EtCo Park, Colorado, where they vac ationed several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Denning and William Rohn returned Monday from Enid, okla., where they visited over the weekend to icc a sister who is seriously ill. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Denning received word last week that they are grandparents again. A daughter, Janet Lucile Denning to Norman and Lucile Denning of Central City. They also have three sons and another daugh ter. Mr. and Mrs. Bart Scanlan and two daughters and Mrs. Scanlan's father, Raymond Wos laeer of Omaha, recently re- i uirned from Los Angeles, where ! they visited for 10 days. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Slander Sr. were Mr. and Mrs. Ross McDon ald of Sabetha, Kan., and Mrs. Herbert Aistrup of Sioux Falls, S. Dak. Mrs. Dan Hoschar of Murray, a patient at St. Mary's Hospital, Nebraska City, will return home Friday. Mrs. Ursula Rountree and daughter Barbara departed for Maine to join Mrs. Matthew Her old at her summer cottage. Oren Pollards Back from Trip To Pacific NW Mr. and Mrs. Oren M. Pollard of Nehawka returned the first of the week from a trip to the Paci fic Northwest. They were accom panied by their daughter, Mrs. Clayton Bruce of Lincoln, and their granddaughter, Dianne Pollard of Wayne. Their first stop was Cheyenne, Wyo.. where they were guests of Jean Muething, a close friend of Mrs. Bruce. Thev traveled to Custer, Mont., to see the Custer Battlefield National Monument and to Glacier Park, Grand Coulee Dam, Seattle where they were houseguests of Mr. Pol lard's sister, Mrs. Rowena Pol lard Jacobson and visited Dr. and Mrs. Harvey Rays and fam ily and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Rough and attended the World's Fair. They took a boat trip to see large ships. They went to Mt. Ranier and took a drive along the Columbia River. In New Plymouth, Idaho, they 'were guests of a niece, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Snyder. In Ogden, Utah, Mrs. Bruce's former home, they were entertained by her friend at dinner and a coffee for 20 guests. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Pollard were dinner guests of Mrs. Bruce. They brought Stephen and Karen Bruce home and got their daughter Dianne. Mr. and Mrs. Pollard returned Sunday evening to their home. i CYF Picnics MURRAY (Special i The Murray Christian Church CYF held a picnic Wednesday eve ning at the Chriswisser pond. Seventeen youths and their guests were in attendance. Carol Smith gave the worship service using The Creation as her theme. Vicky Fitzpatrick had charge of the recreation. The picnic closed with a friendship circle around the i campfire -with Rev. Victor; Schwarz giving the closing medi tation.
