Smith, 3718 So. 60th St., Oma ha, and Ronald R. Reimer were married June 30 at the First Lutheran Church of Omaha. . The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Reimer, 711 Patterson Ave., Plattsmouth. - Rev. W. D. Kneffel, pastor of the church, officiated at the ceremony in the presence of 200 Bursts. Baskets of white gladiolus and chrysanthemums decorated the church altar for the 7 p.m. wed ding ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in Silk organza. The bodice with a Delores Dangler, Bill Ruhge Wed AVOCA (Special) Delores Dangler and Bill Ruhge were married July 9 in Lincoln. Attendants were Doris Buter ball. Nebraska City, and Clyde Fletcher Jr., Avoca. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John Dangler, Lincoln, and Mrs. Thelma Ruhge, Avoca. The bridegroom joined his ship in California after 30 days leave and the bride will live in Lincoln where she Is employed. Fritz D. Franke Promoted to Sp-4 FRIKDBERG, Germany Fritz D. Franke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz I. Franke, Louisville, Neb., recently was promoted to spec ialist four in Germany where he is a member of the 144th Ord ance Company. Franke, an ammunition spec ialist in the company in Fried berg, entered the Army in June 1960, received basic training at Fort Hood, Tex., and arrived overseas the following Novem ber. Larry Bartels, Syracuse, was best man and ushering were John Mettlen, Omaha, Duane Reimer, Syracuse, and Jim Ho loubek, Plattsmouth. A reception was held at the Kiewit Plaza. Omaha. The couple departed on a wedding trip to Yellowstone and Teton National Parks. The bride Is a graduate of the University of Omaha where she was affiliated with Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. Mr. Reimer is a Plattsmouth High School graduate and is as sociated with the Holster Dry Wallers. is! ; r f -1 s. COLLEGE FRESHMAN AT 13 Los Angeles A college fresh man at 13, Lance Kerr says he probably won't be able to make an A average after he reviewed his grades in anthropology, phy sics, math and Russian. But he thinks he will make a strong B. Lance doesn't like to be called a child prodigy or a genius. The impression he gives is that of a normal, intelligent person with something wrong about his age. Joe is the nephew of Mr. Moren and they were enroute to New York where they will make their home. Mrs. D. C. Huffman has been transferred from the Bryan hos pital in Lincoln to the Rock of Ages Nursing Home at 2217 A Street in Lincoln. j A steak fry was held last Sat urday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stander near Manley, honoring Mr. Stander's mother, Mrs. Pauline Stander of Louis ville and his aunt, Miss Anna Palacek of Plattsmouth. The oc casion was their b i r t h d a ys. Others present were Mrs. John Stander and Marilyn of Weep ing Water, Miss Judy Hebert of Omaha, Miss Cecilia Palacek of Plattsmouth and Andrew Stand er of Louisville. The Rev. and Mrs. Theodore Vogel and family of the Im manuel Lutheran church of Louisville are vacationing at their cabin in Ddxion, Wyo. They will be gone several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Rockwell of Grand Island and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Carnicle and children of South Bend were Sunday visitors at the Hugh O'Brien home. Elaine Beck Is visiting this week with her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Kuhn and children in South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Heim were Saturday evening callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Dietze and family in Omaha. Darrell Schroeder of Clare mont, California ' visited last week with his grandmother, Mrs. Daisy McNealy and other relatives. A picnic was held at the Glen dale School grounds honoring, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith, Linda and Cheryl. The Smith's recently moved to Papillion. Leonard Vaughn will start Monday, July 16 as permanent station agent for the Burlington Railroad in Palmyra. Mrs. S. J. Edeerton left Sun. day by plane to visit her son, tt.ennein and family in Minne apolis, Minn. She is expected to be gone about two weeks.
