Maude Baldwin returned Aome from the Methodist hos pital in Omaha after being hospitalized for ten days for treatment. Roy Wade returned home from the St. Mary's hos pital In Nebraska City after be ing hospitalized for treatment. Mr, and Mrs. Ray Norris vis ited with Mogens Johnson of Avoca on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Norrls and ocnanna oi uoiumbus were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Norris and their houseguest, Mr. and Mrs. Phil lip Starck and Phillip, Jr. Mrs. Dave Durst entertained at a dinner on Sunday at Domingo Inn with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Norris and Schanna, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Starck and Phillip. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Norris and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Norris as guests. The Starck family have been stationed in Hawaii and returned to Weeping Wa ter for a visit. They left on Monday for a visit with rela tives in Illinois. They will make their home in Denver, Colora do. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin McRey nolds, Cleo Jameson and Mrs. John Stander and Marilyn were In Lincoln on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Grover McElree of Canton, Ohio were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin McReynolds. Mrs. Homer Jameson, Mrs. I. C. G. Campbell, Mrs. Fred Cher ry, Mrs. Rasmus Lauritzen, Jr. Mrs. Mary Domingo and Esther Tefft attended the Lincoln As sociation of the Congregational Woman's Fellowship workshop in Lincoln on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Lud wick of Papillion were overnight guests and spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Ludwick. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kreck low and Darlene Lyle of Elm wood were Tuesday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wiles. Jerry Joyce,- Jr. of Lincoln spent a week with his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Christensen and Mr. and Mrs. James Kivett. Steven and Benny Rock of O maha are spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. Amos Bates while their mother, Mrs. Harry Rock, is at Rochester, Minnesota. Betty James of Nebraska City and Rodney Knaup of Falls City were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Knaup. Mishell Taylor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Taylor of Murray, spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Taylor and Beverly. Mrs. Gary Van Horn and girls, Lilo Cinders and Richard Nick els were Wednesday afternoon callers of Mrs. Edward Van Horn, Carol and John. Mrs. Van Horn and girls were Friday eve ning callers of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Cooper and family. Mrs. William Gwin entertain ed at a coffee on Wednesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Pilfold and girls enjoyed a picnic din ner on Sunday at the fish hatcheries at Gretna. Mrs. Harry Evans of Griswold, Iowa visited for several days with Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Rothe and boys. Joe Sterling of Omaha at tended the church services at the Christian Church. Joe is home on leave from the service and visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alton Sterling of Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence King and family of Valley were Sat urday guests of friends and relatives in Weeping Water. Su zanne King and Paula Freeman visited Saturday evening with Mrs. Ed Freeman. Mrs. Fred Neumeister and Mr. and Mrs. J. R. McVay were Sunday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Schmidt and family of Cook. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Kinton were business visitors in Nebras ka City on Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wiles and Kathryn were Sunday afternoon and evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wiles, Sr. Other eve ning guests were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wiles and children and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Graham and Chris of Louisville. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Urwin and Alan were Saturday dinner and supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Cooper. Mrs. Amos Bates and her grandchildren. Steven and Ben ny Rock of Omaha were Friday morning guests of Mrs. Clifford Cooper. Mrs. George Plunkett spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Vic tor Plunkett and Wendell. George was a dinner and sup per guest. Mrs. John Jochim and Mrs. E. J. Boedeker took Marcia Mei singer and Alice and Ted Joc him to Syracuse where they en joyed an afternoon of swim ming. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Meislng er took Mrs. Emma Kaffenber- ger to her home in Plattsmouth after a visit of a week. Mrs. Eugene Schmader and Kirby of Louisville and Mrs. George Schmader were Wednes day evening guests of Mrs. George WTiles. George Plunkett wrecked his car Friday, going to work. He was near Manley and he lost control and the car turned over Into an embankment and then turned upright again. George suffered a fracture of a bone in his leg. His car was damaged and was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Plunkett. George is employed at the ele vator in Manley. Mrs. Cyrus Livingston and Mrs. Victor Plunkett called on Mr. and Mrs. George Plunkett on Saturday. His leg is swollen and he will be off work for some time. Mrs. Kenneth Boyd suffered many bruises and cuts on Fri day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd and children were riding in the car, another car was coming head-on at them, Mr. Boyd swerved to avoid hitting the other car, and the door came open and Mrs. Boyd fell out. She was taken to the Memorial Hos pital in Syracuse immediately and was able to return home on Sunday. Gerald Earl came home June 1st from basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., he left June 14th for Fort Dix, New Jersey. Shortly after midnight Wed nesday morning Bruce Stock had an attack of acute appen dicitis and was taken to Bryan Memorial Hospital where he was operated on about 5 o'clock that morning. He returned home Monday. Mrs. Roy Stock is at tending summer school at the University of Nebraska. Mrs. Mary Buell had dinner Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Sowards. Mr. and Mrs. David Olsen and Jeanne spent Saturday evening at Keith Weston's home. Ron nie Proctor of York and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Proctor and family were Sunday afternoon visitors at the Weston's. Mrs. C. B. Dean of Lincoln and her daughter Mrs. Jene Slmonds, Scott and Lisa of Greeley, Colorado were at Ivan Armstrong's Tuesday evening. Mrs. Edrie Wiles of Nebraska City spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Malvln Wiles and Terry. Roger and Hazel Wips were Sunday evening callers. Tues day Mrs. Sam Long spent the day with Mrs. Malvin Wiles. Monday of last week David and Sharon Livers, Shirley Borland and Linda Long were guests of Terry Wiles for a picnic lunch and swimming at the lake.
