The bride-elect is a graduate of Lincoln High School and h employed at the Lincoln Country Club. Richard Maseman graduated from Avoca High School, was in the service and is employed in Lincoln. They plan a July 29 event. Congregational Fellowship Meets WEEPINQ WATER (Special) The Congregational Women's Fellowship met on Wednesday afternoon in the church parlors with Mrs. Harold Domingo pre siding at the meeting. Mrs. Richard Harmon gave the devotional period on "A Mat ter of Size", the parable of the mustard seed. Mrs. Rasmus Lauritzen, Jr. gave the lesson on "The Christian Family in Rapid Social Change". Mrs. E. J. Bender gave a re port of the state conference in April. It was voted to hold a mother and daughter luncheon June 29 at 1 p.m. in the church parlors. Several of the members at tended the worship in Lincoln on June 18. It was voted by the members to help pay for the new base ment room. Hostesses for the meeting were Mrs Alan Spangler, Mrs Laurence Eidcnmiller, Mrs. Fred Cherry, Mrs. Bert Philpot Mrs. Anton Nielsen, Mrs. Knud Jensen, Mrs. Thomas Beins Mrs. Ralph Keckler and Mrs Louis Noble. At Science Institute. The University of Nebraska is hosting this summer 71 high school science teachers who are attending the Summer Science Institute, sponsored by the Na tional Science Foundation. KNORR Mrs. Mynard Club Picnic In Park Mrs. Mynard Extension Club met at Garfield Park for a noon picnic June 27. Five members and ten children were present. Roll call was to name a Ne braska site, historical landmark, or natural beauty spot one would encourage others to see. Mrs. Richard O. Cole present ed the lesson on "Family Out ings." She gave each member litera ture from the Plattsmouth Chamber of Commerce and maps "Nebraska Highways 1962' from the Department of Roads, Lincoln. Information in the ex tension circular was suppement ed with newspaper articles and general discussion. The September meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Ro bert R. Cole. Phil Hall Unit Of Auxiliary Meets GREENWOOD (Special) Phil Hall Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. John Downing Fri day evening. Mrs. Lexie Nelson was presented her 25-year mem bership shield, and Mrs. Ed Stradley her 20-year shield. Mrs. Roy Comstock received Junior membership cards for her two little granddaughters Linda and Carlin Lee Meyers now living in Germany. The president, in the absence of Mrs. William Buck, read the history of this year's activities as prepared by Mrs. Buck. Officers for the coming year were elected and installed as follows: president, Mrs. Ed Stradley; vice-president, Mrs. George Rouse; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Earl Slradley; histor ian, Miss Norma Nelson; chap-i lain, Mrs. Kenneth O'Rourke; sergeant-at-arms, Mrs. John Downing. Christ Lutheran Ladies Aid Meets Christ Lutheran Ladies Aid Society met at the church par lors June 27 with 19 members answering roll call. President Mrs. Verner Fried rich read the Menu planned by executive committee for the chicken Supper to be held on the church lawn the evening of July 22. Also, the duties of the mcmber8w... Birthcfa'ys'otig was sung for Mrs. August Siemoneit and Mrs. Fred Wehrbein, having June Birthday's. Devotions, "Believe and Turn to Christ," and a prayer were given by Mrs. Ernest Hild. Ruff of North Bend, and Richard J. Re veillac, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Reveillac of Louisville, were wed in a 10 a.m. ceremony June 23 at the St. Charles Cath olic Church in North Bend. The ceremony was performed by Father John Hilt before an altar decorated with assorted garden flowers. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a whita sheath dress with a fingertip veil, carrying a white orchid corsage on a white prayer book. Mrs. Virrna U-Uahal, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Miss Peggie Rainey, Miss Ro?e Sueper and Mrs. Carolyn Chromy were bridesmaids. The matron of honor and the brides maids wore pale lavender sheath dresses with white accessories. Ronald Reveillac, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Julius Ustahal, Jerry Ruff and Lee Haberline were grooms men and all the men wore black business suits. Ushers were Ro bert Zimmerman and Henry Lorenz of Springfield. The mother of the bride wore a printed blue dress with white accessories. The bridegroom's mother wore a pale yellow dress with white accessories, and both wore a white carnation corsage. Mrs. Elaien Startzer of Spring field, sister of the bridegroom, was in charge of the guest book. After the ceremony, a dinner was served for the relatives, and a reception was held at the Par ish Hall, the Altar Society serv ing. After a wedding trip to Fort Collins, Colo., and Oklahoma, the couple will make their home in Louisville in the Eugene Kob ler property at 610 Oak Street. Guests At A. W. Propst Home Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Propst were Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Propst and daughters Dale and Laurie of Kansas City; Mrs. Mayola Baughm and Bud Greene of Lakeworth, Fla. A Friday and Saturday guest at the Propst home was Mrs. J. E. Halstrcm of Avoca. Mrs. Baughm left this mor ning and Bud Greene will re main for a longer visit. Ernest Cadwells Honored at Family Reunion Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Cadwell of Homeland, Calif., have been visiting his family in Nebras ka City, with his sister Mrs Robert James; in Plattsmouth with his mother, Mrs. Ida Cad well, and sisters Mrs. DeForest Perry and Mrs. Don Warga; also a brother Delbert at Bellevue. Sunday, the guests were honor ed at a family reunion at River view Park in Omaha. The group also celebrated the birthday of Mrs. Ida Cadwell. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Robert James Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Robert James Jr. and family of Nebraska City; Mrs. Grace Hoback and granddaughter cl Union; Mr. and Mrs. DeForest Perry, Mr. and Mrs. Don War ga, Mrs. Ida Cadwell and Larry. Photo by Steward Studio WSCS Meets at Weeping Water WEEPING WATER (Special) The WSCS met Tuesday in the church parlors. Mrs. Staley Hackley, spiritual life secretary, had asked every one to bring Bibles and Scrip ture verses were read, followed by questions and devotions. Mrs. James Kivett presented the missionary lesson on "Fac ing the Challenge of Missions". Marilyn Schmadeke, Margaret Lorensen Mrs. Hackley and Mrs. Kivett presented a playlet. Mrs. Willis Lorensen, presi dent, presided. Roll call was an swered by telling a Bible verse concerning children. It was voted to give $7.50 tc each young person who attends camp this summer. Mrs. Hackley and Mrs. John Groesser gave a report on vaca tion Bible School. The collection at the school was sent to Mr. and Mrs. Guy Garrett, Missionaries, and friends of Rev. and Mrs Hackley. CWF Installs at Weeping Water WEEPING WATER (Special) The general meeting of the Christian Women's Fellowship was held Thursday afternoon with 19 members and four chil dren present. Mrs. Lynn Rothe, president, presided at the' meet ing. - Members voted to give $1C above the missionary goal for 1961-1962. The new year books were passed out. Mrs. Ralph Hyde presentee! the devotions, using as her topic, "The Lord's Prayer" with group singing, accompanied by Mrs. Henry Irons. She closed the worship with prayer. Mrs. Edward Van Horn, wor ship director, held a dedication service for the missionary gifts. She divided the members intc three groups and an evaluation was held on worship, study and service. Leading the groups were Mrs. Leon Bond, Mrs. Ralph Hyde and Mrs. Charles Freeman. This was followed by a short discussion period. Mrs. Van Horn then held a committment service, followed by the installation of officers Each officer was presented with a cutting from a plant and as the plant grows each officer is to grow in Christian living. The theme for the dedication service was "New Occasion Teach New Duties". The Bless ing Boxes for the year were brought and the money counted. This is sent for Missionary work. Officers installed were: pres ident, Mrs. Ralph Hyde; vice president, Mr. Charles Free man; secretary, Mrs. Victor Plunkett, Jr.; treasurer, Mrs. William Klemme; worship di rector, Mrs. Leon Bond; study director, Mrs. Eanos Plunkett; service director, Mrs. Edward Van Horn; Junior circle chair man, Mrs. Harold Cummings; Senior Circle Chairmen, Mrs. Henry Knaup. The meeting closed with the fellowship benediction. Hostesses were Mrs. Charles Freeman and Mrs. John Var. Horn. 4-H NEWS Trouble Shooters Tractor Club held a meeting at the home of Bob Lochman June 11. Bob Lochman and Lyle Engel kemier gave a demonstration on lubricating a grain drill. Ronald Puis and Rolland Hild demon strated how to tell if a plow beam is sprung. We did two lessons in our book and were assigned two more for the next meeting. Mrs. Lorchman served us lunch. Speece and daughter Marjorie Joan of Loveland, Colo, have departed after eight days visit here with her mother, Mr. and Mrs. Gar field Dunning. The visiting family were entertained at a picnic at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Brothers and Cindy in Bellevue. Other family gatherings in cluded entertaining at the Sam Am home and the Albert Krae ger country home. Mrs. Speece is the former Marjorie Am; she is a sLster of Sam Am, Mrs. Kraeger and Mrs. Brothers. Club Tour NEHAWKA (Special) June 19, the Maple Grove Extension Club and six 4-H'ers had a guid ed tour through the Governor's Mansion and the State Capitol in Lincoln. Susan Pollard, visit ing here from Alabama, was a guest of Julia Mitchell. Dinner was eaten at a motor hotel. The gala affair was presented by Janice Freeburg and her dance students. Lucile Wiles ac companied on the piano with Jim Grosshans on the drums. Several clever vocal numbers were added to carry out the theme by Anotinette Armetta, Judy Patach, and Georgia Vele hradsky. After arriving at the fair grounds the audience viewed the Show of Champions, the Ballet de Corpe, and the Grand stand Show. The Town and Country Lass ies then held their meeting at 2 p.m. at the home of Cheryl Berg mann. Ten members and five guests were present. The lesson 'on "Cleaning a Room" was given by the leaders. A demonstration on how to merge corners and put pillow cases on the pillows was given by Patty Sheehan, Donna Brandes, Mary Stander and Jane Stander.
