Hev. J-jlin I. Paton 'Witnesses' Set Celebration for Tuesday Night A special public celebration ha.s been scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Pub lie Library by the. Plattsmouth Congregation of Jehovah's Wit nesses. The celebration, according to Kenneth Emshoff, presiding min ister of the congregation, "will be in obedience to the command of Jesus that his followers hold a sacred evening meal or supper on the anniversary of his death to remind them of his sacrifice." This is the anniversary of his death, on the 14th day of the first month of the Bible's sacred calendar known as Nisan; this year, that clay begins at sundown Tuesday, Mr. Emshoff said. Rev. John Puton To Speak at Louisville Church The Rev. John I. Paton of the "Back to the Bible" Broadcast will be guest speaker in a Bible conference to be held at Faith Baptist Church of Louisville dur ing Holy Week. The Rev. Mr. Paton serves as the assistant editor of the Good News Broadcaster, the monthly publication of the "Back to the Bible" Broadcast. He also serves as the literature editor of the Broadcast. The "Back to the Bible Broad cast" is well known throughout the area and around the world for its work of evangelism and Bible teaching. Its founder. Theodore H. Epp, is its present director. The Rev. Mr. Paton formerly occupied a nosition as Bible in structor and dean of men at the Omaha Baptist Bible College at 1052 Park Avenue in Omaha. Previous to that, he occupied the pulpit, especially in Plymouth. Mich. The conference meetings will begin each evening at 8 o'clock and will continue Wednesday (April 18), through Friday (April 20). The concluding message will be given on Sunday, April 22, at 11 a.m. The church is located at the corner of Fifth and Elm Streets in Louisville. The public is invited. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kennedy and son Ed ward and Mrs. Vern Schuett and daughter Carole, all of Omaha Carl Stanim of Papillion, Arnold Lau, a nephew, of Littleton Colo., and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smith of Avoca. AL HANSEN RLDS WORLD HEADQUARTERS This is the recently-completed multi-million dollar aud itorium of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at Independence, Mo., dedicated April 1. It is world headquarters of the church, houses 189 offices, a 5,800-seat conference chamber and other meeting rooms. Local RLDS Members Attend Church Conference Several local congregation members attended the Reorgan ized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints World Con ference at Independence, Mo., April 1-8. The conierence was in the church's new auditorium which was dedicated during the con ference. The auditorium was the scene of conference activities as dele gates met to conduct the busi ness of the church. Services began April 1 with three communion services at which nearly 20.000 members re ceived communion. Elder Elwin L. Coolman, pas tor of the Plattsmouth congre gation, attended the conference as an ex-officio member.
