The cake for the refreshments was baked and decorated by Mrs. Davison's sister, Mrs. Lee Sluvter of Omaha. Jr. Woman's Club Elects Officers WEEPING WATER ( Special' The Junior Woman's Club met for the March meeting on Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Staley Hackley with Mrs. Ted Wilson as assistant hostess. There were 13 members present and one guest, Mrs. Charles Spohr. , The treasurer reported that the Club had donated 25 dollars to the Marion Stone Memorial Fund and 5 dollars to the Heart Fund. Federated Woman's ' Club Meets with Mrs. Clara Pershing ! GREENWOOD (Special) The Federated Woman's Club met March 13 at the home of Mrs. Clara Pershing with Miss Lola Allen assistant hostess; 13 members were present. j The president, Mrs. Kenneth! McDoneil, was in charge of the business session. The Traffic Safety chairman read a ques tionnaire concerning school bus legislation from Westside Oma ha Woman's Club. She was instructed to answer the questions and add the fol lowing recommendations that automatic signal and flashing red lights be installed on all railroad crossing of school bus routes. The District 1 Art Contest will be held March 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Telephone Co. Auditorium, 8th floor on 1440 M. St., Lincoln. Election of officers was held for the year which begins next September. Elected were: Mrs.j Kenneth McDoneil, president; Mrs. Walter Marolf, vice presi dent; Mrs. Myrtle Coleman, secretary; and Mrs. Mildred Comstock, treasurer. Some Art work was shown from the Grade School and the adult division for the Art con test which was very interesting. The program chairman, Mrs. Walter Marolf presented a veiy interesting lesson on "Trim The Cost Of Slimming." Mrs. Mildred Comstock an nounced everyone is invited to the musical program March 24th held at the Legion Hall sponsored by the Legion Aux iliary. Mrs. Mabel Lambert announc ed that Memorial Day dim was up for discussion. Refreshments were served the hostesses. Mrs. William Ncwham gave the lesson o.i the topic, "Old Churches in Changing Com munities." Mrs. Newham was as sisted by Mrs. Eugene Day, Mrs. Rasmus Lauritzen Jr., and Mrs. Carter Nielsen.
