Junior Circle with Mrs. Van Horn WEEPING WATER (Special) The Junior Circle of the Christian Women's Fellowship met Thursday at the home of Mrs. Edward Van Horn. Mrs. Leon Bond, group chair man, opened the meeting with a poem. Mrs. Harold Cummings pre sented the worship. She used as her topic, "Ye Shall Be My Witness with Joy." She was as sisted by Mrs. Bond and Mrs. Ralph Hyde. Mrs. Maurice Hammons played for the group singing. Mrs. Henry Irons gave the missionary lesson on "Christ Ian Churches in Latin America " Each member told of a Church College. Plans were discussed for the Father-Son Banquet Feb. 12. Two missionary projects will be completed for the six months at the Feb. 15 meeting. Nylons and used clothing will be brought to this meeting. The March 1 meeting will be with Mrs. Irons. Senior Circle with Mrs. Chas. Freeman WEEPING WATER (Special) The Senior Circle of the Christian Women's Fellowship met for the February meeting with Mrs. Charles Freeman with nine members present. Mrs. Ed Freeman presided-'at the meet ing and opened with a scripture reading from Matthew. Roll call was answered by naming plans for the Evangelistic meetings In March. Mrs. S. H. Harmon presented the worship on "Ye Shall be My Witness with Joy." Mrs. Marion Spangler pre sented the missionary lesson on "Puerto Rico." Mrs. Victor Plunkett Jr. presented the mis sionary projects. Next meeting will be March 1 with Mrs. Victor Plunkett. CASCADE CHARITY CLUB WEEPING WATER (Special) The Cascade Charltv Club met Wednesday at the home of j Mrs. Homer Jameson with 10 .embers present. Mrs. Myrtle Jameson was a guest. The hostess song was "The Old Rugged Cross." Mrs. Homer j Jameson presided at the meet ing. Members discussed the work they will do for the com ing year. Next meeting will be with Mrs. Lawrence Johnson Feb. 28 , SOUTH Mrs. Ivan Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Nelson had quite a drive in the beautiful summer like day Sunday. They went to Hamburg, Iowa, and visited with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bond, former South Ashland resi dents. They returned by way of Rockport, Mo., and Brownville, went on to Lincoln and called at the Joe Llggit home then had lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Duane Nelson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Hammer and Roger attended the Ashland chapter of the National Honorary Society Saturday evening in the Capitol Hotel in Lincoln. Roger and other members of that soci ety and their parents were hon ored at a banquet and attended the initiation of new members. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Probst and Steven of Syracuse, Mrs. Alma Heil of Louisville and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kiroke were Sun day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Haase. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Moore and Dewey W. and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Moore accompanied Mr. and Mrs. George Schmader of Weeping Water to the Ray Ronne home in Plattsmouth Sunday aft ernoon. Others visiting there were Mr. and Mrs. Gene Schma der. Later the Moore families, were evening dinner guests at the George Schmader home. In the evening the Moores called at the Wayne Wiles and George Wiles homes in Weeping Water. Callers at the Earl Mansfield home this past week were, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Swarts, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Richards, Mr. and Mrs. Lyndall Watson and sons, A. D. Bachman, Wallace McClel land and Mrs. Margaret Leh man. We are happy to say Mr. Mansfield is recovering nicely although slowly from his heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Keller took Mrs. Gill Keller to Bryan Me morial Hospital Monday. She un derwent surgery there. The Ray Kellers visited her several times during the week and with other friends who are patients in the hospital. Callers on Harry Farmer this past week were Rev. C. M. Foust, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Farmer, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Briz zie, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Keetle and Roger, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Armstrong, Watson Coleman and Art Box. Mr. Farmer is recover ing nicely from his recent illness. Mrs. Lucy Kellogg is still at the Farmer home. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sibert and family went to Marquette Friday and visited a part of the week end with Mrs. Anna Peterson. The Siberts also visited Mr. and Mrs. Holger Erickson in Central City, they returned home Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. John B. Peterson visited Melvin Peterson in the Veterans Hospital Sunday after noon, later they were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Isaac Jr. in Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Klipp and son of Fairmont were Satur day overnight visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Klipp. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Stander and family went to Dunbar Sim day and were guests at the Irvin Gergen home. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Nissen had Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bundy for supper Thursday honoring Mrs. Bundy on her birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Bailey went to Phillips Sunday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cornelius and Jeanette. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Gebe and Russell of Lincoln were Friday overnight and Saturday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bower. Sunday callers there were Guy Stickney of Waverly, Fred Stick ney, John and Scott. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Armstrong visited in the Bryan Memorial Hospital several times this past week, they called on Mrs. Guy McReynolds, Mrs. Gill Keller Mrs. Leota Breeden, Mrs. Dashia Woodford and Mrs. Vera Meese. They also spent a part of each time with Mrs. Carl Panzer in the lobby. Mr. Panzer has been very ill, not having visitors. We are haDpy to say he is show ing improvement. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Klipp and Mr. and Mrs. Louie Timm spent Sunday with the ladies mother, Mrs. Tena Fisser at Sprague. They also visited in the Glen Hillis home at Sprague. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Nissen and little sons had supper Sat urday with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Short in Ashland. Sunday the Nissens went to Papillion and were afternoon and lunch guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Flem ming. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Keller were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. W. A. Laughlin. They called on Geo. Bornman Friday afternoon. Mr. Bornman is now home from the hospital. Mrs. Jack Wescott and Mrs. John Wescott and Carrie Ann of Raymond were Sunday after noon visitors at the Dave Par rott home.
