Monday Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Royal brought Ernest Kropp home from St. Mary's Hospital where he was a patient for sev eral weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Knabe re turned Monday evening from Peoria, 111., where they attended the meeting of the Hampshire Registry. Mr. Knabe took two hogs as far as McNab, 111., to the ! Mrs. Merle Meyer presided at the meeting of the Holy Trinity Guild Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. James Meyer. There were seven members pres ent. Religious articles were read. Union Items Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wolfe re ceived a telephone call from Phoenix, Ariz., this week telling them that a son had been born to Mr. and Mrs. Roger Shumway, aaugnter or Mrs. Warren Calland (Edith Wolfe). The Union Woman's Club met at the home of Mrs. Allan Bec card Jan. 2. President, Mrs. George Stine, opened the meeting. After re peating the Club Collect in uni son, devotions were led by Mrs. Clifton Garrison. Fourteen members and two guests, Mrs. Horton of Elmwood and Mrs. Grace Cross of Glen wood Springs, Colo., were pres ent. Roll call was answered by reading a cartoon. It was voted that each mem ber give $1 for the "four drives" that will be presented later. Miss Iva Mougey, leader of the meet ing introduced Mrs. Horton who reviewed the Marie Sandoz book entitled "The Love Song to the Prairie." Refreshments were served by the hostess.
