WMS Meets at Murdock EUB MURDOCK (Special) The WMS Ladies met in the EUB Church parlors for the December meeting. The morning session was de voted to lesson study of the book "Land of the Eldorado" and re views of various parts of the book were given by Edna Rlkli, Ellen Swartz and Dorothy Mills. A covered dish dinner was served. The afternoon was devoted to the regular business of the soci ety. After the meeting, several members volunteered to call on shut-Ins and aged people in town plus one or two in the country. They were presented with small gifts. VeJcta Lee Honored With Linen Shower School Notes From Nehawka NEHAWKA (Special) The annual Christmas program will be given Tuesday evening, Dec. 19 at the school auditorium. Mrs. James Ollley, music teacher, and the grade and high school teach ers are directing the program. Christmas vacation bfglns with the close of school Dec. 22 and classes will resume Jan. 2. The book and banner was won by the kindergarten room for parent attendance. Mrs. Ellis Lacy Is the teacher. There were many Members of the PTA enjoyed slides of ancient and modern art from Joslyn Museum at their gifts for the bride-to-be. Lunch, featuring individual decorated cakes topped with red and green the bride's colors and a miniature wedding ring, was served by the hostesses. Elliott of Weeping Water, was revealed as "Miss Navy" at the University of Nebraska 1961 Military Ball Friday night at Pershing Auditorium. Miss Elliott is a Junor in Teach er's College and was one of nine finalists for Honorary Command ant at the Ball. Service Queens for the Army and Air Force were also revealed. Miss Elliott was recently initiated into Pi Lambda Theta, national honorary and professional association for women in Education. Greenwood Social Notes GREENWOOD (S p e rial) The Woman's Society of Chris tian Service held their annual Christmas party Tuesday after noon at the Methodist Church with a good attendance. The Eastern Star Kensington met Saturday at' the Masonic hall for their Christmas party and one o'clock luncheon. There was an election of officers. Those elected were Mrs. John Seefeld, president; Mrs. John Grady, vice president; Mrs. Earl Stradley, secretary; and Mrs. John Downing, treasurer. Dorcas 'Society held their an nual Christmas one o'clock luncheon and party at the Chris tian Church Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mc Donell entertained at a Sunday dinner in honor of Patrick's 12th birthday and Pamela's 13th birthday which fall on the same day, December 10.
