Lunch was served by the officers, due to Illness in the family of the hostess. Mrs. Oliver Boiler returned home from the hospital Thurs day. Callers at the Boiler home Sunday afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. Ashley Boiler of Ashland, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schuelke and Ed ward Orybsky a.11 of Fremont and Mr. and Mrs. Olen Boiler of Lincoln. . Mr. and Mrs. George Rouse spent Thursday evening at the Marvin Pilfold home In Weeping Water helping Debbra celebrate her ninth birthdar. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Claycomb and family attended the State F.F.A. tractor driving contest at the State Fair Saturday. Arthur Claycomb won the tractor driv ing award and will go to Dallas, Texas to compete In the regional driving contest October 17, for the Waverly F.F.A. chapter. Mrs. O. E. Buckingham was Saturday overnight guest cf Mr. and Mrs. Ben Buckingham of Uretna. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bucking ham and family of Omaha spent Sunday at the D. E. Buckingham home. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bell and Lloyd joined relatives at Shen andoah, Iowa for a picnic Sun day. They also visited at the K.F.N.F. radio station. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Haertel and family returned last Wed nesday from a vacation spent in Denver and Estes Park. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Haertel and family were Saturday sup per guests of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Schroeder of Talmage. The N. D. Talcott home has been sold to Phillip R. Hergen rader. Lola Allen accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Harry Weichel of Alvo to Lincoln and to their horns for supper Tuesday. Weekend guests of Mrs. Mary Welton were Mrs. Margaret Bond and Bonnie of Fargo, N. D. Mrs. Welton accompanied her guests to their home to spend a tew weeks. Saturday dinner guests or ivlr. and Mrs. B. E. Grady were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Grady and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Grady and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lewis ar rived in Tehachapi, Calif., last week and are living at 406 Alm ond Ct. Enroute to their new home they spent a day in Salt Lake City and visited relatives in Denver. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Brakhage spent from Wednesday till Sun day in Norfolk visiting relatives and attended the funeral of Henry Bockleman. Emil Melsinger returned home last weekifter visiting in Cali fornia the past several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schoe man and Lance left Thursday to return to their home at Long Beach, Calif., after visiting at the George Rouse home and other relatives in the vicinity. Parr Young was taken by am bulance to St. Mary's Hospital In Nebraska City Saturday night, suffering from a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Van Ackern, Mr. and Mrs. Havley Sayers, Dana Hoschar, Charles Sayers and Mr and Mrs. Charles Spang ler were among those attending the State Fair Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lan caster were overnight guests of Mr. und Mrs. Ed Hoover at Lin coln Saturday. They attended the State Fair Sunday.
