Commander Leonard Holou lek of Plattsmouth swore in three Plattsmouth youths, including his own brother, at special ceremonies at the U.S. Naval Reserve Training Center in Omaha Tuesday night. Left to right in the picture are Lt. Iloloubek, J. C. Draper, J. M. Holoubek and Jerry Haase. The men enlist for a period of 6 years, 2 of which must be in active service and commence within 15 months of their enlist ment. Lt. Commander j. g. Tom Conis, also of Plattsmouth is an enlistment officer at the Reserve Center. The three Plattsmouth young men will be attached to Surface Division 9-146. THE PLATTSMOUTH.. Sunday afternoon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Hunt and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Anderson. Sunday forenoon and lunch guests at the Malvin Wiles home were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johann sen. Mrs. Wiles and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scholting of near Gretna spent Sunday afternoon at the Sam Long home. Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Klipp, Larry, Leroy and Leslie of Fair mont were Friday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Weston and family. Sunday lunch guests there were Mr. and Mrs. Don Deal, Steve and Tim. Mrs. Dewey Moore spent Sat urday evening at the Harold Ke.llogg home. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Martin, Steve and Beverly, Shirley, Cheryl and Francis Corey went to Omaha Sunday for a birthday dinner at the Chris Fleck home, Mr. Fleck and Mr. Martin were the honored ones. Mr. and Mrs. Malvin Wiles and Terry had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Eli Gaudreault. Friday Mrs. Wiles and Terry and Mrs. Sam Long, Linda, Sally and Bob went to Plattsmouth and spent the afternoon with Mrs. Arnie Mcisingcr and Mrs. Albert Mur ray. Mr, and Mrs. Dewey Moore and Dewey W. spent Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rueter and Mrs. Moore's sister, Mrs. Jack Brennan and Mr. Brennan of Washington, Michi gan who are visiting at the Rue ter home in Alvo and with other i relatives. Mrs. Noble Newsham spent Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. John Fox. Mr. and Mrs. j Fox were Friday evening visitors at the Earl Ueberrbein home. ! Mr. and Mrs. Art Box and Milton Box visited little six year old Rhonda Rohrer of Winna toon in Childrens Hospital in Omaha Sunday afternoon. Little Rhonda was severly burned last week when she and two other : small children were playing with ! some gasoline that paint brushes were soaking in. ; Mr. and Mrs. Box and Milton spent the rest of the afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chav- i ala, in Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. Bill White of ! Louisville, Mr. and Mrs. Roiland Beetison and Kim, S h a r o n Beetison and Jack White were j Sunday afternoon and evening ! guests at the Dwight Beetison home. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kupke, ! Mrs. Freeman Haase and Miss ; Ella Lau of Murdock went to Syracuse Sunday and were din ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hen- ! ry Probst and Steven. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Campbell of South Bend spent Tuesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Rau. Walt Neuman was a Thursday evening visitor. ', H. W. Steinmeyer of Clatonia spent Thursday with his daugh ter, Mrs. Melvin Sturm and Mr. Sturm. In the afternoon Mrs. Sturm's cousin, Mrs. Howard Sykes, Becky and Allen of Okla homa City, Okla. stopped for a short visit at the Sturm home. Saturday evening Mrs. Sykes and children and Mr. and Mrs. Sturm were dinner guests of the Jack Reece family.
