SOUT ASHLAKD Mrs. Ivan Armstrong Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kllpp and Mr. and Mrs. Don Deal and sons went to Falrbury Sunday for a birthday dinner at the LaVern Klipp home, honoring Larry on his fourth birthday. Mr. and Mrs. John 13. Peter son, George Isaac of Ashland and Mr. and Mrs. George Isaac Jr. of Lincoln drove to Shenan doah, Iowa, Sunday to attend the Karl May Nursery Open House. The flowers and gardens there are late as it Is here and many of the flowers hadn't opened. The group later had dinner at Steinhart Park Lodge near Ne braska City. Mrs. Martin Stenbcrg helped Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Stenberp: move Saturday into a new home they have purchased in Ralston. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Parks vis ited Mrs. Parks sister Mrs. Elsie Kelly In Greenwood Friday aft ernoon. Mrs. Kelly's daughters Mrs. Ray Johnston of Denver and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Butler of Scottsdale, Arizona are also visiting with Mrs. Kelly. Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Beetison were hosts at supper Thursday celebrating little Kimberly's first birthday. Their guests were Wil liam Beellson the great grandfa ther, grandparents Mr. and Mrs Dwight Beetison, Merlyn and Sharon Beetison and Jack White. Home made ice cream and cake was served later in the evening. A. W. Rau was reminded of his birthday Saturday when Mr. and Mrs. Norman Ran and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Leland Krecklow, and family came from Lincoln tor supper at the Rau home they remained over Sunday. Fred Sclioeder of Omaha was an afternoon visitor there. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Moore and Dewey W. spent Tuesday and Sunday at the Fred Rueter home, they took Mr. and Mrs. Rueter 10 Omaha Friday for a doctors examination. They were lunch quests of Mrs. William Stilwell in the afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Moller spent Tuesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Armstrong. The Rev. and Mrs. Charles M. Foust were Friday afternoon callers. Francis, Charles and Edwin Stander and Rolland Keetle left Thursday morning for western Nebraska to work in the wheat harvest. They will help the Stan der young men's uncle, Leo Stander near Dix. The night group of the Ashland Garden Club held a picnic at the Gandreault cabin near South Bend, Sunday. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Qulncy, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gade, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Dimmitt, Mrs. Doval Ziegenbein and Doval Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Malvin Wiles and Terry and Mr. and Mrs. Eli Gandreault. Their guests were Mrs. Bert Roger and. Mrs. Mable Rogers. Shirley, Cheryl and. Francis Corey are making their home with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Martin, they came from The Cedars home In Lincoln. The sisters will attend hieh school in Ashland, their brother will attend the rural school in District 58, Cass county. Mr. and Mrs. Martin, Stevie and Beverly and the Corey young people were Satur day dinner guests at the Archie Hightshoe home. Tuesday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Nissen were Mrs. Wayne Strasburg, Mrs. Dale Strasburg and Mrs. Orville Nissen of Ayre and Mrs. Eugene Bundy of Gretna. Mrs. Wayne Strasburg brought the little Nis sen boys, Aaron, Scott and Alan home to meet the new little brother, Stuart James. Jamie Flemming and Barbara of Papil lion were Wednesday evening visitors in the Nissen home. Sun day afternoon visitors were Mr. and Mi 5. Frank Newsham of near Wann and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fldler, Jerry and Sue of Wahoo. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Miller called on Wallace McClelland and Mrs. Margaret Lehman, Wednesday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Keller called there Saturday afternoon and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mansfield were Sun day evening visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hayncs of Sioux City, Mr. and Mrs John Wescott, Carrie Ann and Bruce and Mrs. Wilma Rogers were Sunday afternoon and lunch guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Parrott. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Dimmitt spent Sunday evening in the Carl Parks heme. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Kuhl and George Isaac spent Wednesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. John B. Peterson.
