Mr. and Mrs. Dale Gleason were here to move their house hold items to Hutchison, Kans., their future home. The couple taught in the Plattsmouth City Schools, and will continue their teaching profession at Hutchi son. Mrs. Glen Harger underwent major surgery at the Clarkson Hospital in Omaha Saturday. She has been in the hospital since the first of July, room 637. She is doing fine now. Mrs. Har ger is a former employe of the Water Department. Rev. and Mrs. A. L. Embree went tq Hastings Wednesday to spend a couple of weeks at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Bonham. Mr. and Mrs. Embree expect to maintain their home in the Pioneer Apts. until Mr. Em bree 's health permits him to re turn to pastoral work. Police Officer William Weten- kamp visited Officer Sebert Litle Tuesday at Veterans Hospital, Omaha, and reports he's doing well and hoped to .be able-,, to come home the last of the weeK. Litle had surgery is in Room 714, Northwest. Lt. Col. and Mrs. Will Nowin ski and family are here from Tucson, Ariz., visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hirz. The Nowinski's lived here when he was stationed at SAC. They will go to a new station on Okinawa soon. Mrs. Alice Perry returned home Saturday night from Hast ings where she attended Lab School lor Church School of Kln- dergartners. The school was of the United Presbyterain Church; Mrs. Perry attended for one week. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mendina and Patricia Ann, of Gander, New foundland who have been guests of his sister Sophia Wolever the past two weeks left Tuesday for Kansas City, Mo., enroute to their new home at Boston, Mass. Mrs. Edith Barkhurst of Ne- hawka and daughters spent Mon day afternoon at the Henry Thi- ele home. Ambrose Claus re-entered the Methodist Hospital in Omaha Saturday for observation and treatment. Mr. Claus is taking therapy treatments to correct muccular-spasms of his back and legs. Mrs. Jack Stamp, former Cass Countlan, now of Enid, Okla., is in critical condition at the Gen eral Hospital In Enid. She has been hospitalized since Christ mas. A niece, Evelyn Stamp lives at Enid. Mrs. Paul Baburek and Mrs. Stella Quinnett, chairman of the hospital committee of the Aux iliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, were in Omaha Sunday where they assisted in the escort service of the Veterans at the V.A. hospital, for church serv ices. Flowers for the chapel were contributed by the local Auxil iary. Each person possesses about 44,000 pairs of genes, or heredity carriers. She is In criti cal condition, room - 421. The Robert Grassman family of Las Vegas and their guests, the Grant Roberts family of Platts mouth are coming to be near Mrs. Smith, their grandmother. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Brink and four children returned home Sat urday from a vacation in the Badlands, the Black Hills and North F'atte, Nebr. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lowry and family at Cairo, Nebr.
