O'Connor did pay 30 years later: Soon after the debt was made, O'Connor was hospitalized. He was never able to find the dri ver until recently, when the man was traced to a home for the aged. They had come to Weeping Water for the funeral cf their mother, Mrs. Martha Rhodes. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Stratton and Mrs. Lee Roy Stratton visited on Sunday afternoon with Lee Roy Stratton at the Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. When they, arrived the "No Visitors' sign had been taken down from his aoor so he is now able to have visitors. Mr. Stratton suffered a cut in the back of his head which took 14 stitches to close. He is able to take solid food. He was injured in an automobile wreck the past Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wiles spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Wiles and boys in Valley. They enjoyed a picnic dinner at Fremont. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Selby and family cf Dunbar were visiting friends in Weeping Water on Fri day. Mr. and Mrs. William Finley and daughters were Sunday din ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Chrlstenstn. ASHLAND Mrs. Frank Hurlbut Mr. and Mrs. Joiin 3. Mrs. LaVern Klipp, Larry Leroy and Leslie of Fairmont accompanied their uncle Henry Fisser of Lincoln, to the Henry Klipp home Friday for a week end visit. Mrs. Lambert's cousins, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Carlson and family of Lincoln were Sunday evening visitors at the Lambert home. Mrs. Melvin Sturm was a Wed nesday lunch guest of Mrs. F. A. Hansen and Mrs. Charlotte Niday in Nehawka. In the after noon Mrs. Sturm attended a birthday club party at the Dr. R. R. Andersen home, honoring Mrs. Andersen. The honored one received a gift from the club and two cakes. William Jones of Sacramento, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Bach man of Cheyenne and Mrs. Ethel Woodburn of Homedale, Idaho, came Friday for a few days visit with their mother and aunt, Mrs. Emma Jones, at the A. D, Bach man home. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Bachman, Vernon Bachman and Mr. and Mrs. William Mason and family joined the family for Sun day dinner. Floyd Hursh of Grand Island Nebraska, visited at the home of his mother, Mrs. Nora Hursh, Wednesday to Friday. He is a former Eagle resident. Mr. artd Mrs. Al Thurston and daughter returned home Thurs day afternoon, after spending a few werks during the harvest season at Venango, Nebr., assist ing in the fields of her rela tives in that western part of the State.
