Jerome Ulrich has been work ing for Sperry Rand of New York City since Sept. He is an electronics engineer setting up bases in Hawaii and is now close to Midway Island. These bases launch the Polaris missile in the Pacific. His assignment will be finished in the Pacific by July and Jerome will come home for a vacation. CORRECTION In the list of the honor awards at the Plattsmouth High School Commencement, Patricia Roy er, who was awarded the Reg ents Alternate Scholarship, was listed as the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Royer. This was incorrect. She is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Royer, 613-16th St., Plattsmouth. Darrell Brown was toastmas ter and the theme of the ban quet was The King and His Roy al Court. The king was ably portrayed by Charles Gaebel. On the program were Ronald Ahl, who did record pantomimes and the Hutchison brothers, Walter, Ronald and Glen, who played several selections. Special tables were fixed for the graduating classes of 50 and 25 years ago. In the graduating class of 1911, there were eight members and the graduating exercises were held in the Drake Hotel, now the Larsen Hotel. Seven of these members are still living and five attended the banquet. Those five were Mrs. Georgia (Delezene) Trem bly of Compton, California; Mrs. Rachel (Stander) Lowe of Den ver, Colo.; Armin Lee of Bell flower, Calif.; Glen Dorsey of Lincoln and Harold Koop of Louisville. Other members were Elmer Andersen, deceased; Florence Brodine, Louisville and Mrs. Anna (Gadaway) Jones of Ida ho. The two ladies, Mrs. Trem bly and Mrs. Lowe, brought their graduating gowns of fifty years ago and displayed them for all to see. The class of 1936 (25 years ago) presented the ladies and gentlemen of the class of 1911 (50 years ago) with corsages and boutonnieres. Officers for 1960-1961 were William Wegener, president; Shirley (Larsen) Davis, vice president; Shirley (Hermanson) Sheehan, secretary; and Robert Davis, treasurer. For 1961-1962 the officers will be advanced one position and the new treasurer will be Ray Albert. The banquet was served buf fet style by the WSCS of the Methodist Church and serving was accomplished in twenty minutes and everyone comment ed on how hot the meal was. A dance was held in the High School Auditorium after the banquet. Music was furnished by the Hutchinson brothers. One of the wild animals ex hibited in Rome's ancient am phitheaters foras the North- Afri can zebra. Romans called the beast hippotigris. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnson spent Memorial Day in Ashland. Others there were Mrs. E. N. McFarland of Kearney, and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Boring of Albu querque, New Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. M. K. Bchroeder of Syracuse visited Monday eve ning at the T. A. Tennant home. Mrs. Elmer Johnson visited Tuesday afternoon at the Philip Hennlngs home. Mrs. Delsie Stostad called at the Orville Robbins Sr. home Monday evening. Mrs. Ervln Albert and Kay were in Lincoln Saturday, May 27, Kay was among those hon ored for their F.H.A. work by the Women's Division of Lincoln Chamber of Commerce with a program and luncheon. Later Mrs. Albert and Kay visited Mrs. Kazel Able at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Albert vis ited Mr. and Mrs. John Albert at the hospital. They found Mrs. Albert much better and able to be up a short time and Mr. Al bert is improving. Oh Ki Hi Camp Fire The Camp Fire group met with Mary Jo Hirz and held election of officers as follows: President, Sherry Haffke; vice president, Kathy Eggert; secre tary, Susan Hansen; treasurer, Christine Uher; telephone girl, Linda Herre and scribe, Mary Jo Hirz. Our leader, Mrs. Meisinger helped us practice songs to sing June 11 at the Historical Socie ty program. All Camp Fire Girls are asked to participate if poss ible, i Plans were made for a splash party at Merritts in the near future.
