Mr. and Mrs. Duane Nelson and little daughters of Lincoln and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nelson were Easter dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Nelson. Rau has been in the Bryan Memorial Hospital this past week, undergoing treatment. Mr and Mrs. Wilson Lambert and sons ioined a group of re latives for a family dinner with Mr. Lamberts mother, Mrs. Ma bel Lambert, Easter. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Judds and family of Lincoln had din ner Easter with Mr. and Mrs. John Fox Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Reidesel spent Easter and had dinner at the Fred Stickney home. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Martin and family had Easter dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Willis Martin, they spent the evening at the Archie Hightshoe home. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Buell spent Easter with Mrs. Buell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Al len in Waverly. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stander were Easter dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Leybold and Marlin in Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Lyndall Watson and sons were Easter guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mansfield. The Peter Stander family went to Crete Sunday and were Easter guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Muff. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Moore and Dewey W. spent Easter at the Fred Rueter home in Alvo. Mrs. Moore also attended serv ices at the Methodist Church in Alvo. Herbert Mason of Ash Grove Retires LOUISVILLE (Special) Her bert E. Mason, repair foreman for the Ash Grove Cement Com pany, retired March 31. Herbert was first employed at the Chanute plant in 1921 and accumulated a considerable a mount of service between the years of 1921 and 1927. "Herb" as he is known to his friends and associates, came to Louisville in September 1927, and has worked continuously in the construction and repair de partments since that date. In 1953, he was appointed repair foreman and continued in that capacity until his retirement last week. Fellow employes presented him a sander and saw. The lat ter's daughter, Miss Susan Yost and Larry Wright of Onawa, ac companied the Eagle folks home, and then returned to Lincoln Sunday evening, where they both attend the Uni. of Nebraska. Mmes. Louis Koutsky, Evelyn Ransford and Annabelle Alt house who teach In the Elemen tary Schools at Lincoln enjoyed the Easter time vacation, return ing to class rooms, on Wednes day morning. On last Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gerhard and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Norris and family of Independence, Mo. called at the hospital In Lin coln, and visited Mrs. Caude Gerhards sister, Mrs. Leonard Durnell, of Palmyra who has been quite ill with a gall bladder infection and may be advised surgery later. The above folks called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Oberle and family, at Lincoln, before returning home. Mrs. Claude Gerhard received word Friday from her sister, Mrs. Ben Root at Scottsbluff, that Mr. Root is still at the Me thodist Hospital in Scottsbluff and being given oxygen. He has been hospitalized for two weeks with a heart illness. Their sons, Lloyd Root and family reside at Sidney, Nebr and Merit Roots' In California.
