M. Hurst and family In New Orleans, La. Mrs. Campbell reports while they were there they visited many interesting places, among then:. Avery Is land, A Sulphur plant, the Ster ling salt mine, the orange grov es and the Evangeline Country. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hackwith and family of Mason City, Iowa have been spending Easter vaca tion with Mr. and Mrs. Dale Top liif. Thursday evening Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hackwith and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Topliff, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Topliff and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Younker and family, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Topliff dined with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Topliff of I'lattsmouth. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hack with and Mrs. Dale Topliff call ed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Brown in Omaha on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Topliff and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hackwith and family spent Saturday eve ning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Topiff and family. On Sunday morning four young people were baptised at the United Presbyterian Church. They were Linda Howard, Mary Lois Comstock, Sharon Emmert and Kathy Millen. While Rev. Barr is away the guest ministers at the Presby terian Church will be Howard llutchman and George Bancroft. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Sporer were at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Ogg and family Sun day. They all attended church and were joined later for din ner by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wei ble, Allen, and Ardeil, of Nebras ka City. ; - Saturday callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hostet ter were Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Mor ris, Mrs. Ed Morris and Debbie, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Robbins and Judy of Ashland and Mrs. Don Morris and boys of Albion. Mr., and Mrs. Roy Lammert of Creston, Iowa are visiting their daughter and family the George McKulsk-y's, over the Easter weekend. Noell entertained Mr. and Mrs. Robert Humiston, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Humphry of Plattsmouth, Mr. and Mrs. Ray mond Lancaster, Mr. and Mrs. Dewayne Noell and Scott and Miss Sharon Harms. The evening was spent visiting, Roger Noell Is spending his Easter vacation from Huron Col lege in Huron, So. Dakota, at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Noell. Mr. and Mrs. George Born and children, Mr. and Mrs. Dewayna Noell and Scott were Saturday evening visitors at "the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Noell. The children enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt and party. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lancaster and Mr. Raymond Lancaster drove to Dennison, Iowa, Monday to see the new baby at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Furse. They returned Mrs. Raymond Lancas ter who has been assisting at the Furse home. : Mr. and Mrs. Harold Radtke, Jr. and girls were Sunday din ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Har old Radtke, Sr. Mr. and Mrs. Grover King of Nebraska City, and Mrs. Anna Gansemer of Plattsmouth were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Gansemer and girls. A family gathering was held at the Harold Gregg home an Easter Sunday. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Laurance Gregg and Larry of Murray, Jim Gregg, Grand Island, Mrs. Maud Ruhge, Mr. and Mrs. Bill John son and Bonnie, Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Ruhge, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hoback and Richard oi Avoca, Miss Marilyn Hoback of Omaha, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Vanderslice and children of Castro Valley, California. A family dinner was held at the James Chriswisser home on Easter Sunday. Those present were Mr and Mrs. Roy Chris wisser, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bur bee and Dennis of Weeping Wa ter, Mr. and Mrs. Russel Spang ler and family of Murray, Mrs. Bill Crawford and girls of Ne braska City, Ms Mable Wolfe, Edwin and Tom, ' Mr. -nd Mrs. Jim Burbee of Union and Mrs. W. O. Burbee of Murray. Late afternoon callers oh Sunday at the James Chriswis ser home were Mr. and Mrs. Bud Chriswisser and family. Camille Jorn Manager Triangular AAeet Jim Stewart, Larry Toothaker, Larry Cadwell, Corky Adkins and the Plattsmouth High 880-relay team won firsts in a triangular track and field meet at Bellevue Wednesday Stewart led Plattsmouth to 42 points and a. second place finish behind Bellevue which scored 82. Omaha Bishop Ryan had 15 points. Stewart won the 100 In :10.6 and the 220 in :24:2. He anchor ed the 880-relay team to a 2:26 victory. Others running were Dave Wilson. Gene Noell and Adkins. Toothaker won the mile in 5:04. Cadwell won the high hurdles in :16.5. Adkins was first In the low hurdles in :23.3. and Mrs. Arthur Taylor, Sr. In Weeping Water. Jane Shepherd has been visit ing her mother Mrs. Glenn Boedecker and other relatives Miss Susie Boedecker has left for the West Coast to accept a position in San Francisco. James Morris has returned to Monmouth College in Illinois after spending his Easter vaca tion at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Olin Morris. The Council of young people from the Plattsmouth, Murray and Mynard area held a sunrise service Easter morning at the Horning Cemetery. They return ed to have breakfast at the United Presbyterian Church In Murray. About 175 young people and sponsors were served. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Campbells Sunday dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Smith and Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Don Camp bell and Donna and Mrs. Mar garet Brendel. Greenwood Mra. Frank Hurlbut Mrs. Norma McNurlin visited by long distance with her daugh ters, Mrs. George Bauder, of Wichita, Kans., and Mrs. L. J. Nasratil of Tujunga, Calif., on Easter Sunday. While there Mr. Meisinger called on his brother Ed Meisinger at the hospital in Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wall and family of Murdock were Sunday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs..Turley Wall. Mrs. Ruth Leadabrand, Jon, Jackson and Jimmy called on Mr. and Mrs. E. Alan Lewis of Wahoo, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis spent Easter at the A. J. Leadabrand home. Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson and Johnny spent Saturday eve ning with Mr. and Mrs. Sayles Thomsen of Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson were Easter dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Leada brand. The meeting was opened with the members saying the flag sa lute, 4-H pledge and sang songs. We received a Pine Tree cita tion for our donation to the 4-H camp. After our businesss meeting we read and discussed our les sons. We had qjae visitor, Mary Kay Henningsen. . " . Mrs. Welstead served refresh ments. Merry Missiles 4-H Club held a work shop meeting at the home of Jeannie and Kathy Eggert April 3. Members taking the lesson "Baking Yeast Bread," made white and whole wheat bread; had judging and demonstration on shaping loaves and different shape variations of rolls. Pam Ballinger was a visitor. Mrs. Eggert served refresh ments. Jerl Pay ton, reporter. her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Naughton and family. While there Mrs. Mc Donald visited her sister-in-law Mrs. Maud Strong at Burbank, Calif., and her cousins Mr. and Mrs. Roy Skiles of Hollywood. E. L. McDonald and Mrs. Rose McDonald attended a dinner at Cotner Terrace Wednesday eve ning given by Gooch's Co. in honor of the Grocer Association. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bell and Lloyd spent Thursday and Fri day with Mr. and Mrs. A. W. White and family of Colby and were Easter guests at the Loren Schuelke home in Lincoln. Craig Stephens of Kansas City, Mo. spent the week end at the Charlie Bell home. Craig is Mrs. Bells nephew. Monday afternoon visitors at the Henry Kirk home were Mr. and Mrs. G .V. Vant of Lincoln. St. John's Church News ' Easter services at St. John's began with a solemn high mass at 6 a.m Low mass followed at 8; and high mass was offered at 10. Three hundred confessions were heard during Holy Week and 400 Communions were dis tributed on Easter Sunday.
