Curvy Stitchers UNION The Curvy Stitchers 4-H Club met March 24 at the Karen Hostetter residence. In stallation of officers was held. Linda Hostetter gave a dem onstration on measuring and what to use. Members reported on how the muffins they had made before the meeting turned out. Refreshments were served. Mrs. Edward Van Horn will again be assistant leader. The following were elected: President, Mary Alice Wood; vice president, Karen Ratliff; secretary - treasurer, Susanne Seeger; reporter; Lana.Wendt. The following will serve as committee chairmen: Susanne Seeger, social and recreational; health, Carol Nickels; safety, Karen Ratliff; music, Mary Alice Wood; Achievement Day, Betty Wade and. Leona Nichols. John Van Horn and James Bender will take the project "Trees" as members of the Club. "Yeast Breads", Skirt and Blouse, Lounging and Sleeping, First Aid, Meal Planning 2 and 3 and Cake and Pies will be taken by the different members. The next meeting will be April 15 at the home of Carol Nickels. Mrs. Norrls served pop at the close of the meeting. Liberty Explorers The Liberty Explorers 4-H Club met at Bobby Kendall's home. Installation ceremony for club leaders and members was held. The meeting was called to or der by president, Pat McDonald. Plans for a bird hike were made. Junior Leader Rheda Board man led In judging of: What Bird Is It? Bobby Boardman gave a dem onstration on Making a Migra tion Calendar. Tom Hostetter described four birds. Members made migration calendars. The meeting at Rheda, Larry and Bobby Boardman's home was March 25. Plans were made to plant a tree for the birds at the school. Tom Hostetter gave a demon stration on Bird Hike. Club leaders and members took a bird hike. Next meeting will be April 22 at the school. Roll call will be answered by; What I Like Best About Spring. Eagle Senior Plays Given Wednesday EAGLE (Special) The Senior class plays were "Commend able" Wednesday evening at the Eagle Schools Auditorium. The Public Address System was operated by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cochran. Prompter was Jane Robertson. Makeup was directed by Linda Walberg. Stage manager was Don Kem per. In the cast of "The Bride Wore Red Pajamas" were Susan Urn land, Kathy Elliott, Gary Mar coe, Raymond Althouse and David Mack. In "The One That Got Away" were Carolyn Vincent, Bethene Kunz, Lyell Weyers, Arlene Adams, Karen Hess, Raymond Althouse, Carl Miller, Larry Hermance and Jean Reickman Mrs. Richard Reinholtz was director. Mrs. Weisheit returned to the hospital on Thursday for further treatment and returned home on Easter Sunday but has to remain quiet for a few days. Mr. Weisheit and children were Easter dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Mary Lau in Mur dock. Easter dinner guests at the home of their mother,- Mrs. Edith Pool, were the Glenn Mil ler family and the Kenneth Wal lace family.. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald McWil liams of Lantana, Florida stopped to see his parents Mr. and Mrs. Clark Gonzales on Thursday. They had come to Lincoln to attend the funeral of an aunt. They had left here about Christmas time. On their way back they stopped at Hays, Kansas to visit Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gustln. They report coming home between storms as they saw no snow at all. Mrs. Russell Reeder of Cam bridge and Mrs. Glenn Nlcklas arrived Friday p.m. to visit their mother, Mrs. Mary Wil liams, who has been 111 for sev eral weeks. They left for their homes Sunday p.m. Mrs. John Wllhelm takes care of Mrs. Wil liams who improves very slowly.
