The next meeting will be March 7. Mrs. Carl Kupke will be the hostess. Cookies and recipes will be dis cussed. Mr. and Mrs. George Bornman moved to the home they pur chased at 1525 Adams in Ash land, Monday. Several of their neighbors helped with the mov ing. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Earl and farrily will come from near Nehawka to the Bornman farm. Mrs. Lyle Bailey and her fath er, Ralph Dean, went by plane to Dallas, Texas, last week, for a visit at the Carl W. Sorenson home. Mrs. Bailey returned home Monday, Mr. Dean re mained for a longer visit with his daughter, Margaret, Mrs. Sorenson. Mrs. Melvin Sturm attended a birthday party for Mrs. Char lotte Niday at her home near Nehawka, Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bower re turned home Wednesday after a weeks visit at the home of their daughter Mrs, Dwight Jameson and Mr. Jameson near Elsie. , Mrs. Harold Buell was a guest at a miscellaneous shower for Mrs. Lois Hauschild Hanneman, at the Manley Hall, Sunday af ternoon. Mrs. Hanneman was a recent bride. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Buckmas ter and family of Council Bluffs and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sten berg were Monday eveningg vis itors at the Martin Stenberg home. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Olson of Plattsmouth were Tuesday afternoon visitors. Their Sunday afternoon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Hunt and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Nelson. Thursday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Bachman were, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Allington and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Martin. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Swarts were Tuesday evening visitors there. The Wil liam Mason family had Sunday dinner at the Bachman home. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Bailey and Mrs. W. P. Bailey attended the confirmation service, into the Episcopal Church for Martha Dean Bailey, at Cotner chapel in Lincoln, Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Keiser and family were Sunday dinner guests at the Harry Farmer home. Bill and Bob Farmer spent the weekend at home. Mr. and Mrs. Farmer took them back to their school work in Lincoln and Milford, Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Liles and family of Louisville, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jones and Guy of Murdock and Mr. and Mrs. John Jones, John Earl and Elaine, took oysters and goodies to go with them, to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gerge Bornman Sat urday evening for a farewell supper before the Bornmans moved Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ashley Boiler and family attended moving pictures of a Polar Bear hunt in the Arctic region at the B. O. W. Hall in Ashland Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rueter of Alvo, Mrs. Dewey Moore and Dewey W. were Wednesday din ner guests of their daughter and sister, Mrs. William Stilwell and daughters in Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. Ashley Boiler were two of the group that gra duated with the Civil Defense class at Ashland school Tues day evening. Wednesday eve ning the Boilers visited Leroy Tinnean in Greenwood. Mr. and Mrs. John Fox spent Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Armstrong. Ed Mol ler was a caller of the Arm strong home last week. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Williams were Wednesday dinner guests at the Fred Stickney home. Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Bachman were their supper guests Sunday eve ning. Mrs. Arthur Laughlin and Wesley spent Thursday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Leikam. Mr. Leikam continues on the sick list. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Muff of Crete and Charles Stander of Elkhorn were Sunday dinner I guests at the Peter Stander home. Marvin, Carol Ann and Debbie Miller spent the after noon there. Mr, and Mrs. George Bornman went to the Darold Miller home near Ceresco Sunday to help their granddaughter Ellen Kay celebrate her birthday, the other grandmother, Mrs. Phoebe Miller of Lincoln was also there. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Beeti son and William Beetison had Sunday dinner with Mr. snd Mrs. Rolland Beetison and Kim. Mr. and Mrs. Sam St. John and Hart St. John of Kearney and Miss Margaret James of Grand Island were Saturday afternoon callers at the Ivan Armstrong home. Mrs. John Fox attended the Home Science Club meeting at the Frank Lohry home near Memphis, Thursday afternoon. George Isaac had Sunday din ner with Mr. and Mrs. John B. Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. George Isaac Jr. of Lincoln were after noon visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Bower and family were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bow er. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Nelson called on Mrs. Emma Sandy at Gretna Sunday afternoon, they also called on Mr. and Mrs. El mer Nelson and Mrs. Eula Clark In Ashland and Mrs. Emma Ol son at the Martin Stenberg home, that afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Armstrong attended the Week of Compas sion, Fellowship supper in the Christian Church dining room, Sunday evening and saw the pictures of the work needed to be done by Church World Ser vice relief at home and over seas. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Long called at the Malvin Wiles home Thurs day afternoon, the Wiles fam ily spent t'he evening at the Long home. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Brauck muller, Tommy and Gary at tended the Ice Capades in Lin coln Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Klipp and sons of Fairmont were Sunday evening guests at the Keith Weston home. Mr. and Mrs. John Fox were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shart. in the after noon they called on Mrs. W. S. Bundy. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Root and family had Sunday dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Harger. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morrow and family were afternoon visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Buell spent Monday evening at the Martin Stenberg home. Mr. and Mrs. Malvin Wiles had dinner Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Eli Gaudreault. In the afternoon the ladies called on Mrs. Lloyd Scott. Damage Slight in Fire Last Night Damage was slight in a fire Wednesday night in a shed at the Jerry Konfrst residence on South Maiden Lane. A heat lamp used to warm two sows with seven little pigs evi dently set fire to a wood parti tion. The Konfrsts discovered the fire and fought it with the help of neighbor Perry Rooney until the Plattsmouth Volunteer Fire Dept. arrived. Nancy Konfrst, 16, went into the burning shed to get the pigs out.
