A2c Weidcman is a 1959 graduate of the Weeping Water high school and is with the I'nited States Air Forte in Nurth Carolina. No definite date has been set for the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jahrig are entertaining for the Thanksgiv ing holiday, Mrs. L. D. Hiatt, Mr. and Mrs. William Henrich, Mrs. Ernestine Jahrig and Mrs. Blanche Price. It being the month for pay ing dues several non-residem members Inclosed letters. These were read and enjoyed. Christmas charities, were dis cussed no action was taken but Individuals could give ' with other groups. It was suggested that those who knew Mrs. Mae Morgan, should remember her at .Christ mas. She is the only living char ter member. Next meeting will be post poned until Dec. 28. ; . . Mrs. Rosencrans read the President General's letter. Mrs. Seward gave Jhe Defense report. . Mrs. Philpot gave the devo tionals and the lesson. The devo tional part was the reading of Bible reference on giving thanks, and the topic of the lesson "Our Thanks For Freedom." , The hostess served refresh ments and all enjoyed a social half hour. , - Mrs. R. Nites 7 FAREWELL Cass County teachers gave a farewell luncheon at the Courthouse for County Superintendent Behrends and his clerk, Mrs. Behrends, Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. Im mediately following the luncheon Mrs. Clara Becker, Principal at Murray School presented Mr. and Mrs. Behrends gifts from the group and a general visiting hour followed. Included at the luncheon was H. Neil Lancaster the newly ap pointed County Superintendent. Pictured above left to right are Mrs. Behrends, Mr. Behrends and Mrs. Becker. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. McReynolds Now at Weeping Water Mr. and Mrs. Alvin McRey nolds are now making their "home in Weeping Water. In August Mr. McReynolds of Nehawka and Nan Olsen Klepser of Weeping Water were married. The couple took a months Europ ean tour and visited Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Holland, Bel guim, France, Germany, Swit zerland, , Italy, England and Scotland. They flew to Copen hagen by jet airline and return ed on a British overseas flight. The couple has many friends in Cass County made through contacts in the social, church, civic and business life. Mr. McReynolds, a veteran in the work of federal electrifica tion in this state is still a mem ber of the board of directors in this district. Good Luck Club At Stock Home MURDOCK (Special) The Good Luck Club met at the home of Mrs. Robert Stock Wednesday Nov. 16. There were 18 members present. It was decided to have the Christmas luncheon on Dec. 14 at Mrs. Alvin Oehlerking. Each was to bring gift for the Veter ans hospital or Childrens home. Mrs. Verle Stock gave the les son on Christmas Lighting. A delicious lunch was served by Mrs. Grace Blessing, Martha Neben and the hostess. Mrs. Bob Litchenberger, Reporter. Kay Casey,' daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Casey, came home Tuesday from the Univer sity of Nebraska to spend the Thanksgiving Holidays. Kay Is a freshmen at Nebraska U. Cards are to be sent to him at St. Joseph Hospital, North 166A, Bu?bang, Calif. 'The Journal was informed t day the extent of his injuries he received some weeks ago when hit by a car. Mr. Jenkins has his leg broken in three places, a skull fracture and paralysis in the left side of his head. Egenberger Baby Baptized Sunday Sunday at the St. Luke's Epis copal Church baptismal services were conducted for Jeffrey Eu gene Egenberger, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Egenberger. Father Hodgson officiated at the serv ice. Carl Ofe, Robert Tritsch were Godfathers, Jo Ann Egenberger, an aunt is Godmother. Robert Reade, Monty Ladd and Thomas Wacht were Acolytes. Four generations were at the baptismal. Jeffrey and his par ents, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Egenberger, and great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kelly. His ma ternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Johnson were also at the service. Jeffrey was born Aug. 1, 1960. Lynn Fitzgerald Home From Hospital Lynn Fitzgerald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Fitzgerald, ar rived home Monday from a long stay in the Methodist hospital in Omaha due to a fractured leg. He was injured October 18th while at his work in the Lyman Richey sand pits near this city. Recently he had to undergo a second operation on the leg and have a plate inserted in the leg. Lynn is feeling much better now and can recuperate at home with the family and friends. However it will be some time be fore he Is able to resume his us ual activities or drill with the local Army Reserve Co. Janda attended Mass, Saturday at the Holy Rosary Church where they received the church blessing on their 25th wedding anniversary Nov. 19. Sunday the couple had as their guests for dinner Mr. and Mrs. Albert Janda and daughter Janet, S. Krejcl and Miss Mary Krejcl, Mr. and Mrs. William McManus and daughter Cheryl, all of Omaha. Also Mr. and Mrs. Al McClan ahart and Chuck, Mrs. Charles Janda, Rose Janda and the hon oree's son, Richard. Mr. and Mrs. Janda received many lovely gifts and cards. They were married 25 years ago at the Holy Rosary Church by Father Joseph Kazmarek. Their attendants were the bride's sister and brother, Bea trice and Henry Krejcl. Plattsmouth has been their lifetime residence. They have two children, Mrs. William Mc Manus and Richard Janda.
