Mrs. Oeoree Dickman reen tered St. Mary's hospital in Ne braska City Saturday following a two weeks stay at her nome District 12 Plans Program Nov. 18 UNION (Special. The pupils and teacher, Mrs. Ellen Barth elmew of District 12, are plann ing an Annual School Program, to be given Nov. 18. This program will be held at the Legion Hall at Union. Thursday supper guests of the Jorgensons were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Haf fke and family of Plattsmouth. Sherry Haffke recently broke her collar bone when she was thrown from a horse ihe was riding. The horse was frighten ed by a bird and ran away throwing Sherry and her friend. M. E. McDonald is home from Debbie Soear took the girls of her dancing class to Omaha Friday to spend the weekend with Mrs. Lois Spear and Miss Joan Kime. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Kime, Mrs. George Kime and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin McReynolds attended the Democrat rally and banquet in Plattsmouth Thursday. Mrs. Frank Morrison and Jack Ob bink were among the speakers. The banquet was . held at the Lions building. Mrs. Robert Adkins was cut and bruised when she turned off the highway to avoid heavy traffic. Her car hit a telephone pole. Mrs. Adkins was driving on a learner's permit and was on her way to Nebraska City to take a driver's license test. A passenger, Mrs. Robert Wun derlich, suffered cuts and bruises. Damage to the car was estimated at $100. Mrs. Chappell is Birthday Honoree NEHAWKA (Special) A din ner Sunday at the Emmitt Hicks home honored Mrs. James Chap pell on her birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Redden and family were supper guests Sunday of the Rose Reddens and their daughter, Pamela return ed home with them after spend ing the school holidays with the Reddens. 74 Attend Union Halloween Party UNION (Special) Seventy four pupils of the Union School were guests at a Halloween Par ty, given annually by the Amer ican Legion Auxiliary Unit 235. The pupils were divided into three groups, according to grad es. A Costume Prize for best of party was given Peggy Surface. Group prizes were given to Ray Henderson, Theresa Haf ner, Linda Nobles, Gary Mere dith, Tommy Weston and Steve Roberts. Game prizes were won by Mike Ganaway, Idona Meredith, Leslie Hostetter, Debra Lowther, Bobby Kendall, Phyllis Ried and George Henderson. Auxiliary members in charge of program were Mrs. Carl Ev erett, Mrs. Raymond Beck, Mrs. Verl Ackley, Mrs. Donald Wolfe, Mrs. Fred Clark, Mrs. Ted Bran non, Mrs. Abe Exline and Mrs. Robert Kendall.
