Newby will be at home at 311 W. Palais in Ana-' heim, Calif., where Mr. Newby is serving in the U.S. Marine Corps at the Marine Corps Air Station in El Toro. Mrs. Newby is employed by the Magnolia , School Dist. in Anaheim. Mr. Newby attended the Uni versity of Iowa in Iowa City. Mrs. Newby is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, where she is a member cf Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Among guests at the wedding was the birde's grandfather, C. F. Harris ol Union, &4. The other members came with baskets of food. Following the meeting the members went to the home of Mrs. Emily Gonzales for the meeting. Mrs. Will Strabel, Chapeau, presided. Mrs. Strabel appointed Mrs. Joe Zastera and Mrs. Robert Cappeil to serve on the transpor tation Committee and Mrs. Mil ton Muncie to serve on the Cour tesy Committee. Mrs. Don Warga gave the re port of the Auditing committee, also serving on the Committee were Mrs. Robert Cappeil and Mrs Jchn Schutz. The committee commended the treasurer for her fine books. The Salon purchased a gift for the Departmental Chapeau. to be presented at the Depart emental Marche, Mrs. Jenny and her husband will leave for France Sept. 4. In an impressive Ceremony Mrs. Helen Sumner of Elmwood was initiated into the Salon. Mrs. John Schutz and Mrs. Oliver Schiber presented their year book program for the com ing year. Delegates and Alternates were elected to attend the Depart-' mental Marche Delegates are Mrs. Harry Gobelman, Mrs. Chas. Attebery and Mrs. Don Warga. alternates are Mrs. Oliv er Schiber, Mrs John Schutz and Mrs. Mata Amick. The September meeting will be held at the 40 & 8 Ciubrocms in Plattsmouth.
