Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shumak er of Weeping Water accompan ied by her mother, Mrs. George Trunkenbolz of Eagle motored to Superior,, Nebr. last Saturday afternoon and spent Sunday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Ira Shumaker and Vera at that city. Enroute home, Sunday eve nin gthe above folks called at the home of former Eagle friends, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Siekman, at Mllford, Nebraska. Theree Eagle folks, Messers. George Althouse and H. D. Fischer and Mrs. A. F. Schwen ker are undergoing medical at tention at the Bryan Memorial Hospital. Mr. Althouse has been 111 for several weeks with arth ritic condition, Mr. Fischer suf fered flu complications and Mrs. Schweuker a painful eye and diabetic illness. It is hoped by their many friends, all three will be improved soon and able to return home. Mrs. Tena Butt, visited at her daughter's home, the Emil Glasers at Lincoln, Sunday. During the afternoon attended the Uni. Singers program at the University on which the latter's daughter, Patty Glazer was a participant and will be a grad uate In June. She plans to teach 3rd grade in the Lincoln Schools, next fall. The Duane Novak family of near Crete, Nebr. enjoyed a Mother's Day dinner at her par ents home, Robert Phillips, on Saturday evening. All attended the wedding ceremony of Mr. Alfred Schrod er and Jacquelin Soukup, at the Trinity Lutheran church, at Lincoln, Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bogen rief of Elmwood, Nebr. were dinner guests, at the home of their daughter and family, the Wilbur Stalls, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Newburn and two foster children Rebec ca and Susan Sommers of Lin coln, Nebr., visited the child ren's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Silas Cantley, Sunday af ternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ander son and family of Lincoln and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Anderson and son of Eagle, were supper guests, at the home of the Mes ser's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Anderson, Sunday evening. Rodney Youngbauer la in Phoenix, Ariz., and plans to be employed in the bank there. Mrs. Youngbauer and baby dau ghter will be leaving the last of the week to join him. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Stubbs and family will also reside in Phoenix. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Worthan and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Worthan drove to Omaha Sunday were they had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Gomer Worthan and fam ily. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Worthan went over to Bert Worthan's Wednesday where the elder Mr. Worthan helped put in soy beans. Mrs. Marion Worthan cooked dinner for them while Mrs. Bert Worthan had business to take care of In Omaha. , Sunday callers at the home of Mrs. C. D. Ralph Richter played two selections on his ac cordian and Mrs. Towner Living ston gave the lesson on Psalms. Rev. Joseph Barr showed pic tures and talked about his trip to Egypt. Mrs. Darrell Kreglo and two children, Kenneth and Lisa are back from the west coast for a visit with friends and relatives.
