Mrs. Edward Van Horn Phone 252-W Mrs. Harold Domingo attend ed the track meet at Wesley an Tuesday when the Weeping Wa ter boys took part. The Men's Fellowship of the Congregational Church prepar ed and served a banquet dinner on Thursday evening with the women of the church as guests. The men decorated the church parlors and tables with crepe paper and African violets were centered on each table. The men wanted each lady to havs a flower so a dandelion was placed on each plate A lot of fun was enjoyed dur ing the evening. The men an nounced that they had forgot to have mcmt on the menu so a pink and white pig was let loose. The men served dinner in appreciation of the many things the ladies had done for the church the past year. Mr. and Mrs. George Klrch hoff and family were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kirchhoff and family of Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bauers and family and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Dettmer and fam ily of Avoca were Friday eve ning guests at the George Kirch hoff home. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Strat ton and Monty were Sunday eve ning guests of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lloyd family of Lin coln. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Stratton and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Betts of Ne braska City were Friday over night guests of Mrs. Elmer Wade at Colby, Kan. They spent Sat urday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Stratton and Eric of Norton, Kan. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Stratton and boys sent Sunday and Monday at the Dean Stratton home. Maude Moulton has been ill at her home and under the doc tor's care. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wiles were Tuesday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Zessin and Mrs. DeForest Ward. Debbie Ehlers, two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ehlers was taken to the Bryan Memorial hospital in Lincoln on I Tuesday with a ruptured ap pendix. She was allowed to re turn home the first of this week but will have to undergo surg ery at a later date. "The Ladies Club of Pleasant View held their April meeting at the home of Mrs. Herbert Meisinger. Mrs. 'Kenneth Haus- child and Mrs. Francis Safarik were guests. Mrs. MeiSinger pre sented the lesson on "House plants." The May meeting will be with Mrs. John Rieke. Mike Stacey spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stacey and Heather. The meeting was sponsored by the Federal Land Bank of Omaha with about 40 managers and appraisers from central and eastern Nebraska in at tendance. David said that after1 the man explained his ac tion it was decided that no charges would be filed against him, but he was reprimanded.
