Is in critical condition at the Bryan Memorial hospital at Lin coln, result of an auto collision on highway 34, a mile east of 84 and "O" street, Lincoln, Mon day. James was Injured when the car in which he was riding xol llcled hnadon with another car driven by Michael Murphy, 20, of Weeping Water, the Nebraska Safety Patrol reported. The car in which James was was riding was driven by his father, Karl Prell, 52. Six other persons in the acci dent escaped with minor Injur ies. They are Prell's wife, Haz el, 39; two daughters, Kimber ley 10 months and Kay Lynn, 7 and a son. Kip, 14. Young Mur phy was also slightly injured. The Murphy car was traveling east on highway 34 and the Prell car going west on highway 34, when the mishap occurred. Jame3 was sitting in the back seat with three other children when the accident occurred. Both cars ended up in a ditch on the south side of the highway the State Patrol reported. Runaways Returned To Youth Center Two Omaha youths, 14 and 15, have been returned to the Oma ha Youth Center by officers of the Center from the Cass County Jail. . The youths ran away from the home Monday afternoon and made their way to Glenwood, Iowa, where they hitched a ride to Plattsmouth. In Plattsrnoi-:h Monday evening the youths stole a car parked near the postoffice and drove it to near Cedar Creek where it ran out of gas . The youths then hitch-hiked to Louisville where they were pick ed up by Marshal Jim Larson who had been alerted by a far mer who saw the youths on the road. The car was not damaged.' It is the property of Merlin Hod ge of Plattsmouth. Brother of Local Man Missing In Racoon River Perry Dingman was called to Glidden, la. Wednesday to as sist in the search for his broth er, Maurice B. Dingman, 47, an amputee, and 20 year retired service man. ' The missing man's car was found abandoned near the bank of the Racoon River north of Glidden. In the search his bill fold and cigarette lighter were found near the bank of the river. County authorities and member of the family have been search ing for him since Sunday. Wednesday a last attempt of dragging the river was made . The veteran made his home for the past seven years with his mother, Mrs. E. Pearl Muilen burg. Jack Pierce, Railroad Employe, Injured At Pacific Junction Tuesday, shortly after the noon hour, Jack Pierce of Ash land, bridge worker of the Bur lington railroad, suffered severe injuries at Pacific Junction. During his work his left leg was caught in the geajs of a machine and the leg cut and lacerated. The injured man was brought to Plattsmouth on a railroad motor car and to the office of Dr. R. F. Brendel where he re ceived first aid and treatment. He was taken later to the Methodist hospital at Omaha for further treatment. 2-Mile Relay Team Miss Opportunity Plattmsouth High's two-mile relay team was disappointed Wednesday night. Coach Cecil McKnight tooki the boys to the Nebraska City Invitational. But, they didn't run. The finals in that event had already been run in the after noon, unannounced as far as the local school was concerned. FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH No. 8th and Ave. C J. W.
