Mixed Up Eight Mrs. Goldie Graham entertain ed the Mixed Up Eight club at her home Dec. 22. An exchange of gifts and a lovely candlelight luncheon were enjoyed. Cards were played. Four Ash Grove Cement Plant employees were retired at the Ash Grove plant in Louisville, Thursday, December 31, after many years of service. All are retiring because of having reached the retirement age. have each been with the comp any 16 years and William Gra ham and Theo Wilcox each are retiring after 27 years with the company. The Wilcox's are leav ing the 4th of January to make their home in Colton, Califor nia. Both of their daughters and their families live in California. We wish them well in their new home. A big semi-trailer truck be longing to the Eager Produce of Louisville and loaded with eggs was in a smash-up at Lamars, Iowa Saturday. The driver of the car was killed and several hundred dol lars damage was done to the truck and car. A reunion of the Wendt fam ily was held In Lincoln at the Lewis Meyer home. Those pre sent from Louisville and Manley were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wendt, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Weaver and sons, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Shee han and Cindy. Ail were present except Mrs. Mabel Gaebel who Is in Colorado and was unable to be present. Mrs. Walter Stohlmann re ceived word of the sudden death of her brother-in-law, Carl Ram sey in Aurora, Sunday. Funeral services were held Tuesday.
