Mr. and Mrs. Warren Rector and Connie and Harley Rector of Tecumseh will spend the the Christmas holidays with Mr. 4-H Stars in MUt Deiit Wright Four young Ncbrasknns are muting the suite's top 4-H'ers of The foursome joined other Cornhusker state champions on nn all-expense trip to the 38th National 4 11 Club Congress la Chicago, according to Wesley Antes, Htatc club leader. Ronald Wright, 17, of Bridge port, won the state award in the boys' agricultural program and attended the congress as guest of International Harvester. A 4-H'er for 12 years, Wright now has a herd of 12 purebred cattle in a beef breeding project that has included grand cham pion and reserve champion steers at the Morrill County Fuir. He also has raised 26 sheep, com pleted two swine projects, and holds county awards in tractor and field crops. A former otlicer of the Reding ton Valley 411 Club, Wright has served as club leader during the past year. Wright is a senior at Ilridgeport High School. Another 17-year-old, Beverly Heist, of 2513 Central, Kearney, won the state award in food pre paration and the Chicago trip provided by Eetty Crocker of General Mills. A 4-H'cr 10 years, Chapman has been a full-time dairy farmer since his 1958 high school grad uation. Today his six milking cows and seven heifers and calves are part of a family herd of 65 purebred and grade (luern seys. Chapman calls the herd the "most Important accomplish ment" of his 4-H career, pointing out that w hen he joined 4-H. the family herd consisted of only 10 shorthorns. He Is a former officer of the county and of the Future Stock men 4-H Clubs. Canning champion Marilyn Follard of Nehawka received her Chicago trip from the Kerr Glass Manufacturing Co. This Cass county 4-H'er has put up more than 3,000 jars of meat, fruit and vegetables since 1954.
