Henry Kirk returned home from the hospital this week. Mrs. Harry Maughan injured a foot at her home Dec. 12 and spent four days in the hos pital and found she had broken three bones in the foot and has a cast on it. Saturday evening iguests of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Howard were Mrs. Nancy Lewis and Harvey Heimer of Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Howard spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Vere McNurlin of Waco. They all drove to Grand Island Satur day night to see the Christmas lights. Dr. Leonard Fitch Former Resident Dies at Lincoln Dr. Leonard O. Fitch, 63, for mer Plattsmouth resident, died Monday at his home 1902 South 27th in Lincoln. Dr. Fitch was engaged here for several years as an optome trist and was active in the com munity life, a member of the Presbyterian church, American Legion and Forty and Eight. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Westminster chapel in Lincoln, Rev. Fredrick Roblce officiating. Surviving are the wife, Viola M.; four sons, Dr. Marion H. of Kearney; Richard R. of Chica go; Kenneth L. of Omaha and Keith L. of Syracuse, N. Y. Dr. Fitch has been engaged as optometrist for Kindy Optical Co., of Lincoln since leaving this city. Burial will be at Fullerton, Neb. Death of S. D. Gibson at Home On the West Coast W. O. Burbee of this city has received word of the death, Dec ember 17th, at San Bernardino, Calif., of his brother-in-law, S. D. Gibson, 90 a former resident of Plattsmouth. Mr. Gibson was a veteran rail road man, engaged in the train service of the Burlington for many years. In later years he has made his home on the west coast. Youths Fined In Court Here Jerald J. Kuhns, 17, Omaha, entered a plea of "guilty" in County Court Wednesday to "contributing to the delinquency of minors" and received a fine of $25 and costs. Kuhns and two other youths, both 14, were taken into mistody at 4 a.m. Wednesday by Sheriff Tom Solo mon while on county patrol. The youths were booked for intoxication and told the sheriff they had consumed a case of beer among them. One of the 14-year-old youths had to be assisted in walking. Further investigation result ed in a charge of ' procuring beer for minors" being made against Ronnie Adkins, 19, Plattsmouth. Upon his plea of "guilty," Ad kins was fined $50 and costs in County Court. Adkins told officer he pur chased the beer in a Sarpy Co unty tavern. Robert Schram, 16 Bound Over on Homicide Charge County Judge Joseph Strawn of Sarpy county, Monday bound Robert Schram, 16 of Gretna, over to the Sarpy county district court on a charge of motor ve hicle homicide.
